This Week’s Most Amazing Celebrity Pet

Our favourite thing about Mollie King of The Saturdays used to be her hair… then she added that fringe. Fortunately, just as we started to despair and started compiling a new list of stuff – she went and got a new dog.

Meet Alfie, the mischievous little toy poodle. Ain’t he a sweet little fecker?

Normally, people who constantly tweet pictures of their pets get on our nerves. But we don’t mind it when Mollie does, because the snaps are actually quite amusing.

Last week, she twittered these photos of Alfie after he managed to clamber onto the sides through some sort of winged magic. She also posted this pic of his little cherry bag, which made us feel warm inside.

We can’t even talk about ‘the shoe’ without breaking into a high pitched giggle. And that’s annoying, so we’ll have to stop here.

Una: “My Ben missed Meteors”

Una Healy’s boyfriend Ben Foden was due to make a romantic trip to Dublin this morning — after being forced to cancel a Meteors’ date with the Saturdays star.

But the hunky rugby player could spend just three hours with the flame-haired pop-star.

The loved-up beauty explained how her boyfriend was due in at 9am this morning in order to spend some quality time with her, but had to leave just three hours later.

Ben had been due to accompany Una to the Meteor Awards at the RDS, where she presented an award alongside TV3 weatherman Martin King last night.

However, the couple had to put their date night on hold when the Northampton and England rugby union player had to stay in London for a training session.

Wearing a striking ballerina-style green dress from Lara boutique, the Tipperary beauty explained how she was disappointed to have to come to the event solo, but was looking forward to spending some time with her hunky partner this morning.

The Saturdays Dress Down

The Saturdays dress down in breast-printed t-shirts for Fashion for Relief Haiti…

The Saturdays ditched their usual look and dressed down for the event.

We’re used to seeing the girls towering above us in heels and mini-skirts, but they went casual in Vivienne Westwood tops.

However, we had a bit of a flashback with the printed breasts.

Vanessa said she was “mortified” when her top went see-through after the Brits last week, Two days later, she’s still not abreast of the situation…

Una Helps The Focus turn from Brits to Meteors

It has been all about The Brits this week and of course, it was celebrating a big anniversary.

However, the Brits is not the only awards show in town and the Irish music industry has stepped forward to get their moment in the sun.

There is an anniversary going on at the Ireland Music Awards this evening as it celebrates its tenth year.

There are a number of live performances with Florence and the Machine, Paulo Nutini, Westlife, The Script, Bell X1, Pixie Lott and Temper Trap all scheduled to play.

Pop stars in Britain have been excited by London Fashion week but it appears that Una Healy, the Irish singer of the Saturdays is more than excited about her appearance presenting at the awards.

The presentation is an important aspect but as you would expect, the dress is the thing that has caught Una’s imagination, as she twittered..

Haha, you can take the girl out of Ireland but you can’t take the Irish out of the girl.

It seems to be non stop for The Saturdays at the moment but getting back home is always a treat and the opportunity to be involved with an event like this is too good to turn down.

Perhaps over time, Una and the girls will be able to pick up the awards as opposed to hand them out but you have to start somewhere!

“We’ve Had A lot Of Luck

The Saturdays have claimed that they have had “a lot of luck” with their music career so far.

The group, who have enjoyed two Top 10 albums Chasing Lights and Wordshaker, insisted that they have also worked hard to get to where they are today.

“Obviously everyone in the entertainment business has a certain amount of luck and we work with really fabulous people – we’ve got a great record label and management,” Una Healy said in an interview with The Mayfair Hotel in London.

“We do work really hard, you can be as good as you want to be but if you don’t want want to get up out of bed no one is going to see you,” Rochelle Wiseman added.

“We never profess to be the best singers, but we really love what we do and make sure we work hard and do everything we can to make sure we’re out there.”

The five-piece confirmed that they plan to promote their music in Asia, Europe and America in the coming year.
