Sarah McIntyre interviews Una

She's a highstreet girl at heart Sarah McIntyre caught up with ‘The Saturdays’ star Una Healy as she arrived back in Ireland to launch Diet Coke’s Love it Light style and pampering tour.

The singer certainly knows a thing or two about fashion and beauty as a member of the stylish girlband, so it was the perfect opportunity to get the lowdown on beautifying in a rush, favourite places to shop and her individual style.

Sarah McIntyre: You’re back in Ireland to launch the Diet Coke Love it Light Tour, what does it feel like to be back home?

Una Healy: It’s lovely to be back home. I’m proud to be asked to do something as big as this, it’s a huge compliment and I hope I do a good job to promote it as well.

SMI: Getting glammed up is part of your job, do you find it a chore or do you love it?

UH: Today it’s fine because it’s just myself, but when we do shows it’s five girls and say you have to be on camera at 8/9am, sometimes we have to leave our houses at four in the morning because there are so many of us to get ready in one tiny little claustrophobic room. Sometimes that can be a bit tough, so it’s actually mostly a chore! You have to sit there and go through the whole hair and makeup and sometimes you just go “I wish I could just do it myself” but it wouldn’t look as good!

(pictures) – The Saturdays’ Una Healy is a vision in red (as she gets a ‘weekend’ job)

She makes up one-fifth of The Saturdays but yesterday flame-haired Una Healy stood alone after she was signed up by a soft drink company for their girlie tour round Ireland.

The 28-year-old singer looked stunning in a red dress by Julian as she posed for snaps for the campaign in Dublin.

And if she was a bit cold standing by the River Liffey, she didn’t show it as she posed for the cameras in her floaty red dress.

Una, who was born and bred in County Tipperary, is the face of a style and pampering tour which will travel round Ireland from next month.

The rugby WAG, who is dating Northampton Saints player Ben Foden, has been enlisted for Diet Coke’s ‘Love it Light’ Roadshow, which will stop at 79 locations across Ireland.

[Edited] 3rd album is gonna be called…

Yes everyone, Universal finally confirmed that the third album is gonna be called: “Headlines” 😀

Stay tuned people, there’s also a few galleryupdates coming up today!!! 🙂

EDIT: Article about the albumname.

The Saturdays have named their third album ‘Headlines’.

The title was revealed by the Universal Records website, which also stated that the record will be released on 16th August.

The lead single ‘Missing You’ will be available a week earlier on 9th August and the video – which The Saturdays shot in Spain recently – will premiere this Saturday (26th June).

Before then though, you can watch a teaser clip of the vid here.

‘Headlines’ is the follow-up to the group’s last album ‘Wordshaker’, as released last October (2009). Although full details haven’t been announced yet, The Saturdays revealed that they worked with ‘Break My Heart’ hit maker Taio Cruz on new material for the CD.
