News and updates related to The Saturdays in the United States of America.

News Roundup with The Saturdays

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, it’s been rather manic at work (again) and the dreaded Uni deadline is also nibbling at my toes, so no rest for the wicked.

Firstly there are plently of articles around on how Wayne proposed to our Frankie, apparently the dogs where involved (and why not?!) as it wouldn’t be a Saturdays related event without a pet involved somewhere!

Una has been a-blogging again on Hello! about Frankie’s engagement and the girls recent visit to Germany, so make sure you pop over there and give that a read 🙂

A new MTV Show called ‘The Show With Vinny‘ is set to premiere on MTV US on May 3rd, The Saturdays are included on the guestlist for the show, no real further details yet but something to keep an eye on!

Sorry for the quick update, something more detailed to come soon!

What About Us .. Tuesday Update

Hey all! It’s Tuesday (Just in case you have forgotten) but today will mean we will get a sales/chart update around mid-morning. As most in the UK will know Ant & Dec’s performance of their 1994 single ‘Let’s Get Ready To Rumble’ has taken iTunes by storm and as of posting this (9.10am) its a good 27% ahead of What About Us on the singles iTunes chart. Obviously this doesn’t count sales of What About Us from remixes, the newly released version on iTunes without Sean Paul and EP sales. I was hoping that Ant & Dec would suffer sales from midweek onwards, but once the UK sees a ‘jokey’ number one everyone jumps on the bandwagon! We will see what the damage is later this morning. Either way its still good for everyone to promote What About Us!

Last night (boohoo) saw the LAST Episode of Chasing The Saturdays air on E! in the USA, Season 2, according to various reports is still being debated upon, but as usual here’s the final analysis after-show video:

Here are a few more pictures of the girls after celebrating their number one single, What About Us! I will hopefully get a gallery update soon with some new HQ pictures, keep an eye on our twitter @TheSatsCoUk for updates to our gallery!

Countdown is on ..

WhatAboutUs

Not that anyone needs reminding but the BRAND NEW single from The Saturdays is releasd in the UK this SUNDAY! The song is getting great support from UK Radio so we need to make sure that everyone buys a copy. Pre-Order it now from iTunes ÂŁ1.99, also on Amazon MP3 (ÂŁ1.69) Amazon also have the remixes bundle for ÂŁ4.45 (I assume something similar might appear on iTunes too by Sunday. With huge support from radio this could be the girls best chance of a chart topper since ‘All Fired Up’ so make sure you buy and get everyone else to!

Episode 8 of ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ aired yesterday! #SatsAndTats, here is the official post-show show:

The girls (very brief) US promo continues today as they hit Kiss 95.7 in Connecticut this morning, hopefully this means that ‘What About Us’ is going to be served to US Radio today, lets hope Z100 and KIIS LA give it some extra nice loving!

The girls did a bit of sightseeing – and promo – yesterday in New York, I’ve posted a few pictures below:

[Updated] Good Monday!

Hey all! It’s Monday again. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 🙂 Sorry for the sporadic updates recently, it’s been chaos at work, plus I have my first piece of University work due shortly so been rushing around like crazy getting work done!

The girls have flown back to the US yesterday, they are appearing on The Wendy Williams Show today, I was semi-hoping this would be the start of the girls much needed promo in the US, we will attempt to get a video up as soon as we can, but before we all get too excited, the girls are coming back to the UK pretty quickly as they have UK promo (not much tho, sadly – yet!) for the UK release of ‘What About Us’ which is out this coming Sunday – get preordering #TeamSats!

UK promo so far seems to be:

Saturday 16th/Sunday 17th March – MTV TakeOver
Saturday 16th March
– The Matt Edmondson Show – BBC Radio 1- 10am
Sunday 17th March – Sunday Brunch – Channel 4 – 9.30am
Monday 18th March – Daybreak – ITV1 – from 7.00am
Friday 22nd March – Alan Carr: Chatty Man – Channel 4 – 10pm

For those with VirginMedia the girls are also their Artist on Demand. Check out Music on Demand for more information.

The song is A-Listed on Radio 1 so it is getting great support from radio!

Vanessa is also ‘excited’ about the new album.

Also the girls seem to be grabbing those airmiles when they can, in the interview for Fabulous magazine, Rochelle has said that the girls are going to Australia in April too! Never a boring moment being a Saturday, I’m sure like everyone else we hope that they actually make an impression in these countries they are going to, rather than just being known by a few 🙂

Pancakes!

It’s Tuesday, its February it only means one thing, its Pancake day! It’s time to admit how many pancakes you will eat tonight, I shall probably have 2 (or 3) depending on how I feel.
It’s also my first anniversary today, so I’ll use the site to say thank you to those members of TeamSats who have supported me and Rosie since day 1 🙂 We do appreciate all your support.

If you are looking at this through blurry eyes, I do have something that will easily wake you up and instantly make you feel better. Here is our lovely Una, grabbing her guitar and giving us an acoustic (solo) performance of Somebody Else’s Life – how amazing is that?!

The DailyMail (who else) have given their review of Chasing The Saturdays (Episode 4) –  I do find it a little funny that the UK media are just going with the US pacing of the show and not the UK one .. I guess there is a chance the final episode will air near each other but for now, there is a 2 week difference.

OK Magazine are running an ‘exclusive’ on how the love-king helped keep Una and Ben’s proposal a surprise:

Una Healy and Ben Foden have revealed how Mollie King helped plan his surprise proposal and their heartbreak at being away from daughter Aoife Belle.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Magazine, the rugby hunk confessed he ‘conspired’ with The Saturdays to make his secret engagement party as special as possible.
He said: “I’d conspired with Mollie [King]. I’d got the the other girls to wait at my house along with friends and family and it was a complete surprise.”
The romantic couple – who will be celebrating their daughter’s first birthday next month – also opened up about balancing their family life with their work commitments.
Una admitted she was brought to tears the first time she had to leave little Aoife behind, because of her hectic US schedule with her bandmates.
“The first time I’d been apart from her was for a week in New York and I was so down. But we got through it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder,” she added.

Monday Roundup

Hey all! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I spent the weekend in Blackpool catching another concert – by Little Mix – they put on a decent show, it had to be said so if you want a girl group fix and need a gig you won’t go far wrong with them, a good night out!

Back to our girls tho, this is a roundup of what has happened over the last few days. Chasing The Saturdays aired both in the UK (Episode 2) and in the US (Episode 4) last night, as per the US-speed of the show a VEVOLift video has been added, here’s some #DeepFriedSats ..

The Saturdays also seem to have a new-founded gambling habit. As well as appearing at Antree the girls (alongside Lawson) are also headlining a night at Newmarket Racecourse on June 8th.

To round up, and going back to my opening, the girls are feeling bad for One Direction’s Zayn and Little Mix’s Perrie.

Rochelle Humes told heat radio: “They’re gonna get that. Sadly it comes with the territory and that’s one of the downsides.”

Frankie Sandford added: “I feel quite bad for them. Perrie and Zayn, considering One Direction are one of the biggest boybands in the world and Perrie is in Little Mix, you don’t actually know much about their relationship. You feel a bit for them.  It’s out of their hands.”

Chasing The Saturdays Episode 3, Radio 1 ..

Hey all! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Firstly first, @TheSaturdays will be on BBC Radio 1 TOMORROW (Tuesday) from 6.30am. I assume this is to officially premiere the UK version of What About Us with Sean Paul. A premiere date of around this time makes sense as its around 6 weeks before the actual release date, hopefully the video will be following shortly.

Those in North America can rejoice! The Chasing The Saturdays EP is now available to grab digitally on iTunes. I know a lot of US Fans will already have the songs, but it is of high importance that everyone in the US does download it, I mean its only $4.99, and it support the girls! So spread the word and get buying!

We’re gonna have #SatsOnTheBeach … Episode 3 of Chasing The Saturdays aired on E! (USA) last night, apparently Canada got Episode 2 and Episode 1 airs in the UK THIS Sunday (keeping up?) Here’s the official youtube breakdown of the episode with the girls.

Talking Chasing The Saturdays and the UK, if you are in the UK do an iTunes search for ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ and a link does appear, so it looks like we will be able to purchase the show here. Obviously we will find out more a week or so today! As per our stance (ever since day 1) if a show/song is available to legally buy somewhere we won’t put it on the site. Support our girls and buy the show (when it becomes available) 🙂

The girls also say that the only thing they have in common with the Kardashian’s is that they are on the same TV Network!

Rochelle Humes, 23, has spoken out about the comparison, claiming that the girl’s reality show will be focused on their music.

She said: “We aren’t the new Kardashians – we’re nothing like them. We love their show, but what do they do? We’ve performed professionally for years.”

“People used to call us ‘the new Girls Aloud’, and we have worked with them and they are lovely, but if we are the new anything then ‘the new Spice Girls’ gets us more excited.”
