Vanessa speaks to Verge Magazine

Here’s a preview of an Interview with @VanessaWhite with Verge Magazine, apparently the full interview is in the next issue of the magazine.

The gorgeous Vanessa White sat down with Verge’s Ryan Duggins to give us all the behind-the-scenes goss on the making of The Sats new album, On Your Radar. Check out the snippet below and catch the full interview in the next issue of Verge Magazine…

The new album sounds great! It’s got a real club vibe. Will you ever get bored of partying?

Erm, well I’m sure I will when I get to like 40. But not right now, no. I’m loving it. On a personal level, I don’t really go that much to the big clubs where the paparazzi and the media will be, you know? I’m a local pub kind of girl who likes hanging out with my mates!

How do guys impress you when you are out?

You know what, just make me laugh. That’s always the key. I think that guys maybe a little bit intimidated, and maybe I am quite an intimidating person without even realising. I can be quite loud and I’m always with a lot of friends so maybe that could be an issue. But it’s weird, I have no idea how you would impress me.  I just want to have fun really at this age.

You’re the youngest of the group, do the other girls look after you a little bit?

Yeah, I mean, they look after me all the time. Rochelle’s got that big Sister quality about her that keeps me in check, which is really good, because I need that sometimes. So it’s good she looks out for me.

You’ve been performing since you were young, do you ever feel like you’ve missed out on growing up a little bit?

I made a lot of mistakes at the age of 15 or 16… I went to theatre school so I guess it was all a bit different because there were only 150 people in the school. But I did go through a rebelling stage at that age, so no. I started doing this when I was 17 so at that point I told myself that I needed to grow up a little bit. d want to go to Uni’ actually when I was younger, but to be honest, I wanted to be a singer so I stuck with that. I would have studied either Music or English Literature if I did go though!

The Saturdays’ On Your Radar is out 21st of November, the single My Heart Takes Over is out 13th November

Vanessa denies: she will not be going on Celebrity Big Brother

Some may be disappointed, some may be relieved – either way, Vanessa has denied the rumours she’ll be going on Celebrity Big Brother (remember our post a couple of weeks ago?). And what other place to do it then Twitter?! See Vanessa’s Tweet below:

Just to clarify I will NOT be going on celebrity big brother lol

To which Mollie kindly replied …

@vanessawhite Oh dammit, I thought we could’ve got some peace and quiet for a few weeks! Hahahaha!

Vanessa for Celeb Big Brother?

Reports over the weekend have linked @vanessawhite with a role in Celebrity Big Brother when the show returns to Channel 5 next month. What do you guys this of this? A step up for Vanessa? A huge step backwards for her and the group?

Here’s an article from TellyMix

Star of girl group The Saturdays Vanessa White is reportedly set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother 2011 house next month when the show returns to telly screens on Channel 5. According to the Sunday Mirror, the 21-year-old is amongst a number of other ‘big signings’ for the show.

Boxer Ricky Hatton, ex-Blue Peter presenter Andi Peters and Scottish television personality Carol Smillie are also tipped to join 2011 version of the reality telly series.

Vanessa, the youngest of girl group The Saturdays, previously took part in ITV1′s Popstar to Operastar last year but was eliminated after just two weeks. The band’s lead singer would join the likes of Jedward, Imogen Thomas, Natasha Giggs, and Kerry Katona on the show.

Vanessa: “Our new music is much sexier”

It’s been a long time since we heard any music from the Saturday’s girls but with their new album fast approaching we caught up with the lovely Vanessa at the New Look Style the Nation with T4 launch to have a chat about it.

Vanessa who was looking super cute in a NL jumpsuit AND had a snazzy new haircut (jel? Us?) told us that their new album’s going to have a sexier vibe.

“Our new album’s going to be a lot sexier than our old one, it’s definitely a different sound, we’re really excited about it,” said Vanessa, “We’ve all grown up a bit now and that shows. It’s also a lot more R‘n’B than anything we’ve done before, it’s a very cool. Every time I think about the new single Notorious it makes me want to dance.”

EEK. Exciting!

Vanessa who spent the evening catching up with friends and dancing showing of her toned legs and admitted that she’s a bit like us when it comes to her exercise habits, “Sometimes I’ll get really into exercise and go to the gym all the time but then other times I’ll have a week off.”
