Happy New Year from The-Saturdays.co.uk

We’d like to wish all of our visitors a Happy New Year, we hope you all celebrated it nice and savely – no lost hands from the fireworks! – and that you’re all ready for a brand new year!

We’re off to a late start, we’ve both been a bit busy today celebrating with friends and/or family or sleeping out from late nights. Below though is the flip that is ”part 2” from last week’s flip, this time it’s about August-December 2010 and the girls’ adventures during those times. Enjoy it!

We hope there’s a wonderful 2011 ahead of you, we’ll make sure to keep the site as updated as we can. There hasn’t been much lately, so bit of a breather for us, but we’ll make sure to catch up once the girls get back to work. Also Happy New Year to them of course if they’re visiting! 😉

I’ve added the flips they have used for this compilation flip – not a lot, 7 – but it does include the scrub one too 🙂 click ‘MORE’ to see them!

The Saturdays – Advent Calendar – Day 12 & 25

First off we’d like to wish all of our visitors a Merry Christmas, enjoy these happy days and may they be celebrated with friends and family around you with lots of food and drinks and all that 🙂 Below is a little Christmas gift for you.

Remember their advent calanders from last year? Unfortunately they haven’t done that again this year, but below we do have the 25th advent calander from last year (25 December 2009) which was never posted on our site then! Also, I’d found out the video we put up for day 12 last year was the Ego music video, but now I’ve seen they have replaced that with a decent calendar as well – in fact, it’s Benuna singing you a Christmas song! Enjoy these slightly delayed advent calendars!

If you would like to see more of the advent calendars from last year, I have now created a page for it which has also been added in the media part of the site in ‘Other’ where I’ve added the AOL Sessions from earlier this year to as well.

The flip is up as well above this post now, Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂

Rochelle at the MOBO Awards – Video

BBC Three aired this last night but I was jamming away at the Hammersmith Apollo watching Selena Gomez and The Scene – how cool am I 🙂

Rochelle pretty in purple and towering over the other girl, wasn’t she in Eastenders? They both have heels on too, but either Rochelle is a giant or the other girl is well tiny!!

Enjoy the video 🙂

Sexy Saturdays’ special garrison gig for soldiers

CHART-TOPPING girlband the Saturdays are performing a fundraising gig in Colchester for families of soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

The Saturdays, who have had a series of Top Ten singles since forming three years ago, will be playing for families of 16 Air Assault Brigade at Colchester Garrison.

The five girls are helping launch the 2010 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, which this year is aiming to provide help and support to the “Afghan generation” of the Armed Forces and their families.

The concert will include a parachute display from the legion’s extreme human flight team, Jump4Heroes.

They will land next to the site where a new personnel recovery centre for soldiers will be built in the town.

The concert, for the families of 16 Air Assault Brigade on operations in Afghanistan, will also feature video messages from personnel stationed in Afghanistan for the families of those watching.

The private concert will take place at 10.30am on October 28 at the physical training and recreation centre at Colchester Garrison.

The Royal British Legion has committed £25million to the Personnel Recovery Centres.

Sats and JLS to duet?

JLS have revealed they’d love to duet with girl-band The Saturdays on a new song if they were asked.
Speaking about a possible song, band member Jonathan ‘JB’ Gill said of the collaboration: “Will we see a JLS / Saturdays duet? Wow. I don’t know but we’d do it in a shot.
“We’d love to do a song with the girls. A Christmas number one maybe? Watch this space.”
