Summertime Ball 2013

SummerTime2013

Firstly @TheSaturdays have been announced as part of this years CapitalFM Summer Time ball, the event is hosted by Justin Timberlake and also includes performances from Robbie Williams, Olly Murs, Taylor Swift and more. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning, it takes place at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday 9th June!

The other dominating news story of the last 24hours is the break up of JLS. I’m sure many of you out there are as surprised as I was about the news, all seems a little suddern and strange, but the lads (and Marvin obviously) all have new plans. It’s always disapointing when a group splits up but its also good to remember the good times too, plus they are still touring at the end of the year!

The girls to appear with Girls Aloud on farewell tour?

The media seems to be reporting that @thesaturdays alongside a bunch of other girls are set to appear with Girls Aloud on their – maybe – farewell tour – at London’s Wembley Stadium next year, the report below is from Digital Spy:

Girls Aloud are reportedly planning a reunion farewell tour to mark their tenth anniversary next year.
The band want to complete a three-week jaunt of the UK, ending with a huge show at Wembley Stadium featuring some of the biggest female artists as support acts, according to the Daily Star Sunday.
Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle are also looking at other possibilities including an ITV2 behind-the-scenes documentary, an ITV1 Audience With… show and a new greatest hits album featuring fresh tracks.
The news comes after the band’s manager Hilary Shaw announced in April that all five girls will perform together next year.
“The early talk is a short three-week tour towards the end of the year, finishing at Wembley,” a source said.
“The Wembley Stadium idea is to get a few of the hottest girlbands and female performers like Leona Lewis, The Saturdays and Alexandra Burke on board and bill it as Ladies’ Night, with them headlining.
“It would be a good way for the band to pretty much say goodbye – maybe forever. If it doesn’t come off fans will definitely get the chance to see all five singing together again.”
Previous reports have indicated that Girls Aloud will record new material in January, while Cole, Walsh and Roberts have all expressed an interest in marking the band’s tenth year in the industry.
It has also been reported that they are being lined up to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
