The Saturdays to perform at Parc y Scarlets

Another summer show has been added – this time next month in Wales.

The Scarlets, in conjunction with 97.1 Radio Carmarthenshire and 97.5 Scarlet FM, are pleased to announce that the first ever “Enjoy” festival will take place at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday 21st May, 2011.

Parc y Scarlets has already hosted a number of world-class events including UEFA Football fixtures, was the home of Wales Under 20s during the 2011 Six Nations Campaign and has hosted international teams such as the Barbarians, Luxembourg and Estonia.

Big X-Factor names Marlon McKenzie and Lloyd Daniels, and A3 of Britain’s Got Talent, performed at the Scarlets and Scarlet FM’s Fireworks Extravaganza last November but this will be the first all-music event of its kind at Parc y Scarlets.

This summer will see the dawn of West Wales’ very own summer music festival, to be held annually at Parc y Scarlets, entitled Enjoy.

The first ever concert at Parc y Scarlets will be held in association with Radio Carmarthenshire, Scarlet FM and their other sister stations across South and West Wales including Nation Radio, Bridge FM, Bay Radio, Radio Pembrokeshire and Radio Ceredigion.

Martin Mumford, Managing Director of Radio Carmarthenshire and Scarlet FM said: “We are delighted to be working in conjunction with the Scarlets once again to offer this excellent music festival. We pride ourselves in serving local communities across South Wales. Following on from the success of last year’s fireworks and music event at Parc y Scarlets we are extremely excited to be welcoming The Saturdays to Llanelli for a fantastic afternoon of music entertainment.”

Enjoy 2011 will be an afternoon of family entertainment as Heart and Soul Rugby Country opens its doors to Wales’ music fans.

Headlining the first ever Enjoy Mwynha 2011 festival will be pop sensation The Saturdays. 2008 saw the five girls Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King, Una Healy, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White splash some colour onto the UK’s pop landscape with a run of consecutive top 10 smash singles.
