Rochelle, Vanessa and Tulisa

Tulisa Contostavlos was seen enjoying a night out with The Saturdays stars Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman on Saturday night (28th January).

The N-Dubz star was pictured holding hands with the ‘Notorious’ singers as they left the Nobu Berkeley restaurant in Mayfair, London.

All three stars were seen looking glamorous, with Tulisa sporting a short black lace dress and ankle high boots.

Rochelle, who is currently engaged to JLSsinger Marvin Humes, wore an elegant figure hugging green outfit and Vanessa rocked a denim dress complete with matching boots.

Meanwhile, Tulisa recently admitted to Capital FM that she is readying the release of her first solo single admitting she is hoping to announce details of its release in the next couple of months.

The Saturdays are also in the studio and believed to be working on thier new studio album.

Mollie at the InStyle Best of British Talent

@MollieTheSats looked stunning last night at the InStyle Best Of British Talent event in London. Mollie arrived at the awards in the ‘Kate Middleton’ black lace dress’ style (apparently!) I’ve posted a few pictures below:

 

The Daily Mail described her outfit as:

Mollie, 24, looked ravishing in her take on the black lace dress look, opting for a chic pencil number which came down to below her knees.

Adding to her demure get-up, the blonde beauty showed off her enviable figure in the v-neck strappy frock.

And to accessorise she completed the outfit with a black clutch bag and killer matching heels.

Seems @thesaturdays have a few days off this week before they get back down to work next week! No doubt back in the recording studio recording some number one singles!

Despite having time off the girls are being filmed and photographed as they do their daily chores – the life of a popstar eh?

Una has been spotted doing some shopping at Tesco, and the good old Daily Mail do their best to create a news item out of a few pictures!

Frankie has an evening out with Wayne, again the Daily Mail say that she is ‘channeling her inner cat-woman’ as they again write some random text around a few pictures. At least on this occasion she wasn’t wearing that hoodie!

Day and Night Ventures

This is proving to be a bit of a discussion point, thanks to those over at PopJustice (who else!) who have dug this up!

It seems that our girls aren’t just a pretty face, it looks like that in August 2010, the girls setup a company ‘Day and Night Ventures’ if you click on the link you will see that each girl is named as a ‘director’ of the company. Apparently this company deals with the name ‘The Saturdays’ which suggests that Universal Music don’t own the name of the group – this in turn means that when the girls strike a deal with a company to endorse a product – a percentage of the money won’t be going towards their label but will go to this company.

The interesting point here is that if Universal Music decided to drop them, (but lets be totally honest here the chance of that right now is very low to zero!) there – seemingly – would be no problems that the girls could go it alone, and continue like nothing happened, as they will own the rights to their own name.

To also dispell some rumours going online, believe me this is generating a lot of talk online, on non-music forums too, the figures for the company suggest they don’t have too much money. This might be the case on paper, but remember you NEED to borrow money to start up the business, looking at the figures the company (before taking off money owed etc) made nearly £300k in a very short period of time (plus there are around £140k in ‘other assets’). Remember they’ve just completed an Arena tour, which isn’t added to this total either ..

Either way this means that our girls aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, and that we all might complain about this and that, but hats off to the ladies, this is one clever move on their behalf!

All Fired Up At… Secret Studio Shenanigans

@TheSaturdays continue their weekly flips eventhough there doesn’t seem to be much going on… This time recorded by Mollie! Is a new career on the lines? Now accompanied by a new tune you can catch the latest flip on their official site. This one is of the girls recording some new songs for a new album – be it a greatest hits, rerelease or a completely new one! You don’t actually see them recording much but they are chatting about which is fun as usual: Frankie attempts to play some guitar (and nearly breaks it) and also introduces a competition coming up on Twitter, and apparently you can win Frankie’s hair! So lots to look forward to 😉

News Roundup – 19th January

It’s not too exciting in the world of @TheSaturdays right now .. unless you are an fan of random news bits that appear here and there. Here’s a little round up of what the Internet is talking about with The Saturdays.

Firstly, as we can tell from the girls, they are in the recording studio. Rochelle in the past has said that girls where due to hit the studio in january to start recording songs for the follow up to ‘On Your Radar’ – so this obviously sees to be the case. There are a lot of rumours circulating that the girls might re-release the album, or even ‘Greatest Hits’ is being touted due to Una’s child and she obviously wants to spend time with her kid. I guess we will see what will happen but either way media reports of the girls demise are way off the mark!

Secondly, the media seem to be in love with Frankie’s brand new £135k car. Have to say for someone that doesn’t play Football, Mr Bridge is getting an awful lot of money from Manchester City – do they have more money then sense?!

Una had a bit of a fainting episode – don’t panic, all is fine! She has tweeted that all is well. But it seems some media outlets are making the most of the news item!

All Fired Up At… Tickled Pink Gig

As promised! @TheSaturdays take us behind the scenes of their first gig in the New Year, and it was for a good charity as well so if you went: go you!! This flip isn’t as much about the gig as it is about Una’s baby growing inside her belly… Apparently there’s 2 more months to go – well good luck Una! Although it might be at the safest place there, Mollie seems very keen to have it … As always you can catch the flip on their official site, there’s also 2 parts of the ‘The Best Of 2011’ flips up there to see what they were up to last year (and that’s a lot!). If you want to see those I think you’ll need to sign up if you haven’t already!
