[Updated] Live at BBCR1 Big Weekend – Londonderry

Today the girls hit the stage at the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, which this year is taking place in Londonderry. The girls finally gave us the first performance of Gentleman, due to technical difficulties my recording of the show (video wise at least) hasn’t seemed to work, but I’ve uploaded the audio of the girls setlist below. BBC Three is showing part of the show tonight at 7pm, we will add this to the site later on 🙂 Check back here later tonight, or keep an eye on our Twitter account @TheSatsCoUk for further information.

Here’s a video of the girls from the BBC Red Button Stream (it’s not the highest quality channel) but its missing four of the songs, the BBC responded to me saying ‘we are showing all what we are allowed to show’ the video includes Notorious, Gentleman, All Fired Up, Higher and What About Us. I will record the BBC Three showing later this afternoon and see if they show anything else 🙂

As with all our own made videos, if you want to use this on your website/blog etc please use the multitude of embed options on vimeo and please link back to us at www.the-saturdays.co.uk – its hugely appreciated 🙂 Time and effort goes into making these videos, this is the only thing that we ask  for.

Here’s a video of the girls backstage, and making a run for it!

‘A Day In The Park’ and SD2 Festival – more summer shows!

Don’t forget to catch the new video ‘Gentleman’ – check out the post below. The single is released on June 30th, pre-order now using the links on the right 🙂

A couple more ‘summer’ shows to look out for, our girls are playing alongside JLS and The Beach Boys (no not a typo) as part of the Hyde Park Concert series, the girls are playing on Sunday 7th July, A Day In The Park. Adult tickets are £35, children get in for £20 and those under 5 don’t pay a penny.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am. This is a general admission concert.

The girls are also playing alongside The Wanted, in a gig right at the end of September – brave organisation there we think – down in Brighton. The new SD2 Festival takes place on the last Sunday in September, 29th, at Stanmer Park. Tickets again go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am, tickets cos £37.95. This is a general admission concert.

This is alongside the girls performing at this weekends Radio 1 Big Weekend, and the girls who have two headlining shows in Bluewater, Kent and Scarborough this August.

Alaia-Mai Humes, Gentleman BTS

For (very) obvious reasons todays news is all dominated by the birth of Alaia-Mai Humes yesterday.  Almost every media outlet you can imagine has reported the birth, I’ve not come across anything that hasn’t been reported already, although the couple probably (does anyone know) have a deal with one of the magazines for the exclusives in a few weeks. Once again we congratulate the couple on the birth of their daughter 🙂

The Doncaster Star has put up a slideshow from the event at the racecourse on Saturday, I’ll try and get a gallery update shortly, I know it’s not had updates for a while, so don’t panic its on the list 🙂

Also Swarovski have posted two videos from ‘Behind The Scenes’ of the Gentleman music video, that actual video doesn’t premiere until Thursday, so enjoy this sneak peak!

Congratulations to Rochelle & Marvin

Sats Baby 2 is here, Alaia-May 🙂

It’s been confirmed that Rochelle and Marvin Humes are now proud parents to little baby girl Alaia-Mai!

Everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite sends our congratulations to the new couple, and the newest member of The Saturdays family!

Update:

The new dad and former JLS singer said the couple are “overjoyed” and  revealed “mum is doing great” in a post on Twitter.

He wrote: “This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes.

“Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for  your love x

Doncaster and more

Firstly a huge thanks to everyone who was involved in the meet up at Doncaster this weekend, lots of talk, laughs (drinks) and topped off with a great gig too! We all had a blast that’s for certain. If you where in attendance I’m sure you enjoyed it too as the girls put on another great show! (Lawson weren’t bad either 😉 )
For those asking the girls didn’t perform Gentleman, the first performance of that is expected to be this coming Saturday at Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Also should add, just in case she reads this, thanks to Vanessa for following us on Twitter last week. We are now followed by both Mollie and Vanessa, so make sure you follow us too on @TheSatsCoUk 🙂

Una took to her blog on Hello to talk about the show being ‘axed’ and confirms that the show only had a 10 episode run anyway, so make of this what you will. I guess ultimately you can spin it both ways ‘being axed’, ‘not renewed’ etc. The media will always be the media!

If you have forgotten (and I hope not!) the Gentleman music video premieres this week, so something to look forward to as the week progresses, they will no doubt ‘tease’ us more as the week progresses.

Or is it …. Chasing The Saturdays

Well news is still rumbling around about the ‘cancellation’ of Chasing The Saturdays, MTV UK are saying that ‘maybe it isn’t …” but seems to be very choice words coming out of The Saturdays camp …

From MTV News:

However, a spokesperson for the band has since stated: “Chasing The Saturdays was originally only commissioned for one season.

“The show has since been picked up by 46 territories around the world. The head of E! is coming into the UK next week to discuss a Christmas special.”

Make of that what you will!

Thanks to @TeamSatsFrance on twitter who have tweeted us the following from the girls recent trip to France! As I said yesterday if there is a news item/media/video/magazine (anything really) from a country you live in of the girls and we miss, fire it over to us and we will add it 🙂
