Chasing The Saturdays Cancelled

Those hoping for Season 2 of Chasing The Saturdays, might have to wait longer, its being reported today that the show has been cancelled by E!Β Reports suggest that viewing figures dropped below 100,000 and that the show was ‘too nice’. Sad news for those who liked the show, where as other people reading this might not be too surprised by this. Hopefully the girls will go back to the USA but try a more traditional route and do tons of promo across radio! (It does work, look at Little Mix, Olly Murs etc. Just needs a bit of planning and travelling!) So fingers crossed for the US fans that they come back soon πŸ™‚

In current news, the girls are currently in France, doing a bit of promo there for ‘What About Us’ if you are a french visitor and have news/media/clips (anything really) then please send to us and we will add it as news (and credit you!) as its impossible for us to keep up to date with EVERYTHING that is going on across the world!

Apparently Frankie doesn’t want to be a ‘fat bride’ – take of that what you will – and the girls performed at the Sony Radio Music Awards the other night, hopefully will get some pictures of of that soon. In baby talk Una has been talking about Ben ‘can’t wait to get me pregnant again’ – maybe we need to rename the Site now to The Saturdays Juniors!

The girls added another summer show yesterday, as they will be playing the Glow at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent on August 10th. We are going down there (as its localΒ to us!)Β so hopefully see some of you down there. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster, it’s a seated event so if you want a good seat then act now, there’s a good batch still available in the first few rows so be quick and snap those up! (We are in Block A!)

The day after Gentleman

As expected – well as I expected anyway – today the media is full of ‘reviews’ of Gentleman and its split everyone right down the middle it seems. I won’t post links to every review out there but reviews have been really good, or really bad (Everyone has their opinion) but I can’t seem to find a ‘it’s ok’ sort of review.

CapitalFM has taken comments from online social networking and claiming its ‘pure genius’ – they also seem to be playing it a lot already, whatever you might think of Capital on a personal level its good to have one of the major UK networks (seemingly) already on board, lets hope Radio 1 join in too and get it A-Listed again!

The Sun on the other hand seem to pick out the ‘worse’ comments from social networking – which is the other end of the spectum. As I said everyone is entitled to their own opinions and a song like this will split opinions across the board.

Listen to the song below and tweet us @TheSatsCoUk and vote in our poll below (see to the right) and tell us what YOU think about this new song. Also make sure you hit up the pre-order links on the right too!

Update: Here’s Mollie on Capital the other day talking about Gentleman ahead of itsΒ premiereΒ on CapitalFM:

Gentleman Revealed! – Now with Lyric video

Remember to tell us what you think via our twitter @TheSatsCoUk and we will RT the best (or worst) comments we get! Also make sure you PRE-ORDER the song from iTunes. By pre-ordering the song you get the b-side ‘Wildfire’ as a pre-ordering bonus! Go go go!!

TheSatsGentleman
As you have probably heard the girls new single has ‘leaked’ it’s way onto the Internets, you won’t here it here before any official youtube link is put up tomorrow, but until then the official Universal Music Store has jumped the gun:

Gentleman is set to be released on 30th June 2013. The signed CD is now up for pre-order on the site which includes the band new b-side Wildfire

Remember the official premiere of the song is TOMORROW at 7.45am!! Remember when you have heard the song to vote for it in our poll, just scroll down, its on the right hand side of the page πŸ™‚

Gentleman Premiere – TOMORROW

I know the girls are posting various ‘teasers’ which include reference to farm animals (check out Mollie’s teaser from last night) but the main news is that Gentleman will PREMIERE TOMORROW at 7.45am … although they didn’t say where this will be. So hopefully that will be cleared up today!

In the past a youtube lyric video (or just audio) has been made available shortly after the premiere, if that is the case we will obviously link it up here on the site for everyone πŸ™‚

The girls official twitter accounts are given lyric sneak-peaks, so keep an eye out on the girls twitter, and ours, and we will RT the previews so that you don’t miss them!

Big Weekend, Frankie goes shopping

Hey all! Hope those in the UK enjoyed the long weekend, all back to work today, in which – in typical UK style – seems to be the last nice weather day for a few days!

As we all sit and wait to hear when Gentleman will get its UK radio premiere, the girls have been added to this years ‘BBC Radio 1’ big weekend. The girls are set to perform on the Saturday (of course!) , this year the event takes place in Derry, Londonderry between 24th-26th May. The event has no tickets left, as the majorty of tickets are ballotted to local residents. But don’t panic the entire weekend is going to be shown across the BBC, on TV, radio and of course online. We will also have the girls performances on the site too πŸ™‚

Below I’ve added some pictures from the news of her shopping for wedding dresses the other day!

Confirmed: ‘Gentleman’ is next single, premiere soon

SatsGentlemanFor those of you still awaiting the official mailer this week, it confirms that the next single is indeed ‘Gentleman’ and it is set to be premiered some time this week – details of that are still not known (or they won’t tell us)

There is a 15 second clip on the girls official soundcloudΒ – yes we know its ‘different’ but I also feel this is a perfect opportunity for the girls to try something different with the public at large, so I love this!

Sweat The Small Stuff

The other evening the first episode of the new BBC Three series ‘Sweat The Small Stuff’ aired which features our very own @RochelleTheSats

If you live outside the US you can catch the show below, please be aware this show airs at 10pm UK time, so is a program of adult nature.
