I’m Marit, 19 years old and studying for Teacher Assistant. I was born and live in Holland. I actually got to know the site owner before this site through another fansite I run with him – MattPCDWorld.co.uk – I then started to listen to some of The Saturdays’ music, watched some of their videos and decided I quite liked them! Since then I’ve been following them, and you understand as soon as Matt asked for volunteers I was the first to apply! I hope you’ll enjoy visiting this no nonsense fansite for The Saturdays that has been around, well, longer than they have!

WOWSA! FRANKIE from THE SATURDAYS showed us just why she’s nicknamed SEXY in the girlband.

She shone while performing at our star-studded Children’s Champions Awards bash.

But even though it’s now okay to fancy the former S CLUB JUNIOR star (she’s 20), the gorgeous singer is off limits because she’s currently dating DOUGIE from McFLY.

Saturdays: ‘Please get us to number one’

Friday, March 6 2009, 23:02 GMT
By David Balls, Entertainment Reporter

The Saturdays have begged the public to buy their Comic Relief record and get them to number one.

The group, who are currently trailing Flo Rida in the midweek charts, urged fans to go out and buy their new single ‘Just Can’t Get Enough‘.

“Everyone who does a Comic Relief single gets to number one and the Sats do not want to be the first band not to!” Frankie Sandford told InTheNews.

“We’re excited for the day though, it’s a massive thing for us and so early on in our career, so it’s a big deal for us.”

Fellow band member Una Healy added that Depeche Mode, who originally recorded the song, had given the group their full support.

“They actually said they didn’t have a number one with it, so they hoped we might!” she said.

The Saturdays recently announced details of their first headlining tour.

Saturdays favourite for Jackson support

Friday, March 6 2009, 21:48 GMT
By David Balls, Entertainment Reporter

The Saturdays are being tipped as the most likely support act for Michael Jackson’s upcoming 02 residency.

The ‘Just Can’t Get Enough‘ singers have been given better odds than established acts like Girls Aloud, Sugababes and Duffy to open Jackson’s summer shows.

Bookmakers Paddy Power made the girlband favourite to perform at the comeback gigs with odds of 7/1. Lady GaGa, Janet Jackson and The Script are joint second favourites at 8/1.

The ‘Thriller’ star’s former wife Lisa Marie Presley has been given outside odds of 150/1.

The Saturdays recently announced details of their first headline tour in June.

Catch new flips from the girls!

We’ve been busy downloading all the footage off the girls’ flip-cams and have just added three brand new videos.

Head over here and check out the hot-off-the-press clips from the girls.

You can see Frankie challenging the girls’ stylist, Nick, to run through the dance routine to ‘Up’, there’s some exclusive footage from the Comic Relief Radio Tour and we also have a video all about our brand new competition.

Watch the third video and see who each of the girls would most like to dance with. Then head over here to the forum and tell us YOUR funny, romantic, sad or just plain crazy dancing stories. We’ll be announcing the winner in this Saturday’s mailer and they will be receiving a money-can’t-buy prize – a bunch of ‘roses’ presented to the girls on ‘Let’s Dance’ except instead of the actual flower there are red noses! These are completely one of a kind and each one has been signed by a different girl. But because they are so hot, the winner must be able to pick them up from management’s office in London.

Good luck everyone!

Friday update: Flo Rida vs. The Saturdays

Friday, March 6 2009, 12:43 GMT
By Nick Levine, Music Editor

As promised, here’s an update from the final midweek charts of the week:

# We hate to break it to you, but Flo Rida’s still ahead of The Saturdays.

# The rest of the top five is still a Kelly Clarkson – Lady GaGa – Taylor Swift affair.

# Take That have slipped a bit since Wednesday but they’re still in the top 15.

# Lemar’s ‘Weight of the World‘ has managed to sneak into the top 30, with Kings of Leon’s ‘Revelry‘ a mere place behind.

# Will Young’s ‘Let It Go‘ has now disappeared out of the top 40.

Saturdays fans, it might be time to start praying.
