Happy Birthday To Us!

In an amazing turn of events, today sees The Saturdays Fansite reach it’s 6th birthday.

As those of you who have been here since Day 1, I generally write a long, drawn out message but this year I’m going to keep it quick and simple.

Never once would I have thought that this site would still be going six years later, it is a pretty amazing achievement, so thank to everyone who has helped over the years.

Secondly huge and personal thanks from me, to each of the five members of The Saturdays, thanks for your kind words over the years and the support that you have shown the site. Also thanks to the girls management and their record label who have also been very kind and supportive over the years.

And last, but never least, major thanks to you, the visitors, who keep coming to the site and seeing what stuff I decide to post on a daily (or so) basis.

I ended last year’s message by saying:

Thank you one and all! Lets hope Year 6 produces the new album, a new tour and everything we can wish for, the same way Year 5 ended with the girls first UK Number One single!

Sadly it seems the number one single isn’t forthcoming, but the tour certainly is!

Here we roll into Year 7 … which is scary and exciting at the same time. Thanks to you all from the deepest part of my heart!

Matt 🙂 x

Tours, Oasis, Rochelle and more

Hey all! It’s a brand new month, it’s April, but no April Fool’s here (seriously!) just a round up of what is going on.

The big thing is the tour talk, lots of so called tour posters floating around online, I’m lead to believe they are false, the tour is set to take place in September, and I do believe it is likely to be in theatres. I won’t second guess the dates, we will have them by Friday (at the latest) and hopefully an announcement will be sooner than that. We do expect tickets to be on sale next week. But more information as soon as it becomes official.

Mollie last night officially launched her new Oasis range. The new ‘Loved By Mollie’ range will hit your nearest Oasis store (and online) from next Monday – 7th April. Although with the tour also (probably) on sale that week you might need to decide what is more important 😉

Rochelle had her birthday party this weekend past, although Mollie was absent, a lot of other famous friends attended. I’ve added a few pictures below if you’ve not see them yet. Everyone loves a Disney party right?

The Promo for Not Giving Up was announced at the weekend too, sadly only two performances. I will be posting an update on Friday regarding videos for the site. I’m not set to be home when the main promo is being done, I have two concerts on Saturday and Tuesday in Manchester, but will update you all on Friday.

Daybreak (Friday 4th April 14 – Interview)
Saturday Night Takeaway (Sat 5th April – Interview)
Sunday Brunch (Sunday 6th April – Interview)
This Morning (Monday 7th April – Interview + Performance)
Loose Women (Wednesday 9th April – Interview + Performance)

Remember ‘Not Giving Up’ is released digitally this Sunday at midnight! Pre-Order now using the links on the side.

Happy Birthday Rochelle!!

Another year has passed! Today it is our lovely Rochelle’s birthday! I’m sure everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite, and all our wonderful visitors, are wishing Rochelle a wonderful day!

Have a great day Rochelle and we all hope Marvin, and of course Alaia-Mai, treat you well today!

Rochelle hits the NTAs

Last night Rochelle and Marvin hit London’s o2 Arena (no sadly not for a concert) but for the National Television Awards.

I believe she was there for This Morning rather than Sweat The Small Stuff, confusing I know, well I am at least!

Here are a few pictures of the couple on the Red Carpet!

Rochelle – Strictly Come Dancing

Hope your Christmas Spirit is in full swing!

This evening our lovely Rochelle appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, you can check her out below:

What do you think of her moves? If you missed Rochelle and the rest of the girls performing ‘What About Us’ on Top Of The Pops, scroll down for that one 🙂

Una, Mollie, Rochelle, Tour?

Hey all! It’s been hectic at work the last week or so, so haven’t got around to updating the site. Remember to follow us on Twitter @TheSatsCoUk for any breaking news 🙂

The girls are seemingly on their Christmas Break’s now, we don’t expect any major news until the new year now, we might be wrong, but it would be strange for any major news over a holiday period. I know a lot of twitter talk has been about a tour announcement on Xmas Day, it’s possible but most tour venues and e-mail promo shots have now ended until Jan 10th, so it wouldn’t be the greatest time to announce one but you never know.

I was at the WeLovePop Club last weekend, and had a word with Adam, who was very keen to play Not Giving Up, so maybe a early hint? We shall see!

We start some Saturdays news that Una has confirmed she is taking part in the new series of ITV’s Splash! With Tom Daley by posting this picture:

Splash starts on ITV1 in the new year. We will have Una’s appearance on the site for you to view 🙂

Mollie and Jordan when Ice Skating in London the other day. I’ve posted a few pictures of them on the ice below! Mollie seems to keep going to places the day after I’ve been there, next time Mollie text me so we can co-ordinate times 😉

Talking Tours again, I leave you all pondering this ….

Confirmed: Rochelle on Strictly Xmas Special

RochelleHumes

As we reported yesterday, it was confirmed yesterday evening that our very own Rochelle is to appear on the Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing.

She’ll be competing against radio DJ Sara Cox (who’s dancing with pro Robin Windsor), West End legend Elaine Paige (who’s teaming up with Pasha Kovalev), Bros singer Matt Goss (who is partnered with Aliona Vilani), ‘EastEnders’ actor Ricky Norwood (who has got Janette Manrara) and comedian Rufus Hound (who has been given last year’s winner, Flavia Cacace).

The announcement, made on this evening’s edition of BBC Two’s It Takes Two,   also confirmed that Sir   Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly would be back on presenting duties, with judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood on hand to give out the scores.
