The Saturdays get festive in Bristol

Last night The Saturdays got festive in Bristol as they turned on the Christmas Lights at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway. (Yes I know its only early November!)

The Saturdays then began to fulfil their fans’ needs, starting with the well known song ‘Notorious’. They urged the crowd to dance along to keep the crowd warm from the cold. The Saturdays then continued with both recent and older songs such as ‘Higher’, ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’, ‘Ego’, ‘Up’, ‘Forever Is Over’, ‘Issues’, ‘All Fired Up’, ‘Disco Love’ and finishing with their first no. 1, ‘What About Us’. The Saturdays also treated one special fan by singing Happy Birthday, after seeing from a banner it was a female fan’s birthday. The girls accompanied some great songs with some great dance routines!

There’s a video on the ITV West Country website, (which is blocked for me at work so I can’t see what it is) but here’s a link to the article.

The Saturdays hit Kent!

Last night The Saturdays hit the Glow, a new music venue at the Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent. I was very fortunate to have a Meet & Greet with the band too. For those wondering, I chatted to Una and Rochelle – who said she will follow us on Twitter, as the others do, so if you are reading this Rochelle @TheSatsCoUk 🙂 – about this website, Adam also came over to talk about this very site and how the girls and their management enjoy what we do, and that they check it daily, so Hi to everyone at Fascination and the girls!

As for the show, the girls obviously welcomed back Rochelle, but lost Frankie! But still it was a great show, just over an hour long as the girls played all the hits, and they still include the rather epic ‘Get Ready, Get Set’ which gets a thumbs up from me, and Mollie apparently who seemingly loves the song as much as the rest of us!

If you are going to V next week, or Scarborough the week after you are in for a treat for the August headlining shows thats for sure 🙂 I’ve added a few videos from tomorrow below, so please enjoy, including a performance of ‘Chasing Lights’ … no thats not a typo 🙂

What About Us – UK Premiere

TheSats-Radio1-290113

This morning our lovely girls appeared on the Radio 1 Breakfast show to premiere their new single ‘What About Us’ featuring Sean Paul. The girls also chatted about their new TV series, and Vanessa decided it would be a good time to spout out an inappropriate word live on air .. only Vanessa 😉

I managed to record some of the live webstream of the girls (a couple of technical issues meant I missed the start) if BBC put up the entire video I will obviously replace it accordingly 🙂

UK remember you can PRE-ORDER the new single ‘What About Us’ on iTunes NOW and grab yourself a signed copy via the Universal Store

According to various radio stations online the girls are doing a ‘radio day’ in London today so I expect a raft of UK media and press updates coming soon.

In other news, Rochelle has been shopping for baby clothes – according to the DailyMail – and apparently for girls clothes. Check out some pictures below.

Christmas Lights & Halloween

@thesaturdays hit Oxford Street and the shoppers this evening as the girls switch on the famous Oxford Street Christmas Lights, the event is due to start at 5pm outside Marks & Spencers .. so afterwards you can pop in and pick up some food as well! Hopefully Frankie will rejoin the girls this afternoon as everyone is missing her!

The girls promo for ‘My Heart Takes Over’ and ‘On Your Radar’ should hopefully pick up soon (it is awfully quiet at present – or is that just me?) The dancers have also started their rehersals for the ‘All Fired Up’ tour which is only a month away … how excited is everyone for that?!

We got a competition coming soon – details shortly – probably one for our female visitors tho! Plus we got another Interview coming up soon as well!

Hope you all had a good Halloween, here’s a ‘scary’ looking Rochelle to start your Tuesday off with a bang!
