split

Una: ‘We’re focusing on other things’

In an Interview with the Daily Mail, Una – again – says that the group ‘absolutely 100% I’ll say it now we’re not splitting up we’re just going on a little bit of a hiatus.’ but also confirms that she would love to release a solo album:

Asserting that the group will ‘100%’ return, Foden shut down any speculation of a pending breakup.

When asked if the girls had called it quits, she said: ‘No, no, no like absolutely 100% I’ll say it now we’re not splitting up we’re just going on a little bit of a hiatus.

‘We just feel that we’ve got to that point where we’re kind of taking a little step back and focusing on other things that we might want to personally pursue.’

She continued: ‘We definitely plan to get back together and do more stuff in the future.’

Expressing her desire to release music as The Saturdays take a break from the spotlight, Una revealed that she has been putting her pen to paper.

The Irish songwriter said: ‘Music is my passion. It’s definitely something I’d like to do.

‘I’d love to put an album of my own together because I’ve been writing for a long time.’

With plans to make a create a solo LP, Una admitted that she and husband rugby star Ben Foden are in no rush to add to their brood.

Stating that their son Tadhg, born in February, is settling into a routine while their firstborn Aoife has taken to the role of big sister tremendously well, Foden described their home as ‘complete’.

Content with the size of her family, the Disco Love singer told MailOnline: ‘Oh gosh, definitely not right now! I feel quite balanced with it all and the household is balanced with a boy and a girl.

‘It’s not on the cards any time soon but you can never say never because you don’t know what’s going to happen.’

Una added: ‘But for right now I’ll say we’re quite complete with the two.’

Quipping that in the early days Tadhg offered a ‘few surprises’ in the nappy changing department in comparison to Aoife, she gushed that her little girl constantly declares her love for her baby brother.

Speaking about the three-year-old, Una said: ‘She’s so good, she really is.

‘She’s only three but she has this maternal instinct in her and she’s always going up and rubbing his head saying she loves him.

‘She’s always helping me out when I ask her to get me things which is really good.’

With so much going on in her life, Una voiced her desire to visit Marrakesh in a bid to get away from the UK and Ireland’s unpredictable weather.

She said: ‘I’d quite like to got to Marrakesh. It’s really up and coming, I’ve never been there before and you’re guaranteed a nice bit of weather not like here!’

Fronting the new Fly Cadbury Air experience, which will see lucky travellers enjoy five bespoke getaways to destinations including Barcelona and Monaco, Foden spoke about how envious she is of those who will go on to win all the all expenses paid trips.

She said: ‘I would love to be whoever’s plus one to get a chance to go on board because it’s a beautiful plane, you get put up in a gorgeous hotel with food and spending money.’

Una added: ‘It’s a great, great treat for someone to win.’

We’re back!

Well its not like we actually went anywhere, but I know its been an age since the last post. Those of you who follow us on twitter @TheSatsCoUk will know I’ve spent most of last week trawling up and down the UK finishing off Mollie’s birthday book, its huge! Thanks to everyone who has submitted something for the book this year, I’m sure Mollie will have a great time reading it over her favourite drink! The book is being posted to the girls management today, so hopefully they will pass it over to her soon 🙂

Not much news has happened in the last week, the girls have been added to the Main Stage for this years V Festival, the girls will be at Weston Park on the 17th August, and then Hylands Park on the 18th August. V Festival gets high profile TV coverage for those who are unlucky not to have a ticket, we shall be putting media on the site – hopefully as it happens 🙂 More on that in August.

There was lots of boring stories about the girls splitting last week – like most people we just ignored this – although it did confirm that the album is still due out late summer and that a tour is in the pipelines – so more on this hopefully in the coming months 🙂

Expect a few site updates in the coming weeks, mainly under-the-hood changes. A gallery update soon too, plus a few other tweaks here and there. I’ll keep you all updated on the site twitter @TheSatsCoUk

On a lighter note:

We will be back with you tomorrow 🙂

Yes, Frankie and Dougie are no longer together.

Source: Flecking Records

With a huge pile of evidence stacking up to suggest that Dougie Poynter and Frankie Sandford have split up, a source close to the pair has told us that it IS true.

We posted a story days ag about the rumours that Dougie and Frankie were no longer together. It was producer Dallas Austin that got the ball rolling by branding Dougie as ’single’ during a Ustream broadcast from the studio.

Well now a source close to the pair has told us that it’s true, ‘Dougie and Frankie have actually split up’.

Our source told us that details about why the pair split were unknown, but mentioned something interesting about how one of JLS may have caused friction in their relationship.

This is particularly interesting because our spies noticed the following post on Dallas Austin’s website in December last year: “I’m pissed now because my man, DOUGIE – yes, DOUGIE is dating a girl named FRANKIE from a group called the SATURDAY’S. She’s been out with a guy from JLS while he’s been in the A and its been in the press in the UK. I just hate to see a friend disrespected.”

It was just last month that Frankie was papped leaving Aston Merrygold’s birthday party, celebrating the star turning 22 at Alto nightclub in London – two days after we spotted Dougie at a Lostprophets gig, having a laugh with his mates.

Bandmate Rochelle Wiseman was snapped with other JLS boy Marvin Humes, hand-in-hand, after a dinner date at The Ivy on Friday. Check out the News Of The World for pictures and the full story.

Forever Is Over: Rochelle breaks up with her boyfriend of four years.

Rochelle and Darren Randolph have broken up, according to News of the World.

Apparently, sources have said they’ve been dating since Rochelle was 16, but they have now decided to call it a day.

“It was a mutual decision at the end and they’ll definitely remain friends.”

“They have a house together so they’ve got a lot of practical things to work out.”

We will see if there’s any confirmation from Rochelle in the future.
