We interview Oh My!

We have spoken to @OhMyOfficial – the girls are supporting The Saturdays on their forthcoming ‘All Fired Up’ arena tour, we spoke to the girls about what you are likely to expect to hear from them on tour.

TheSatsCoUk: Hey girls, can you introduce yourselves to the lovely TeamSats?
Oh My!: “We are Alex and Jade, and together we make up ‘Oh My!'”

TheSatsCoUk: How would you describe your sound?
Oh My!: “Pop with a dose of attitude… That’s our tag line, but besides that it’s fresh and different to what everyone else is doing! So hopefully there will be a space for us in the UK music scene”

TheSatsCoUk: This sounds very exciting, so should fans expect an album release in the future?
Oh My!: “They should indeed, it will be early next year… And it will be worth the wait! It’s gonna be full of fun pop, with songs that everyone can relate to!”

TheSatsCoUk: Any big-named collaborations coming up on the album?
Oh My!: “Our debut single Dirty Dancer features up and coming rapper Scrufizzer. As for any other collaborations, it’s possible… but it’s a secret!”

TheSatsCoUk: What can The Saturdays fans expect from your set on tour?
Oh My!:  “We’ll we’re gonna get them ‘all fired up’ ready for when The Sats come on, so they should expect a cardio workout! We like to get the crowd jumping. Lots of fun and free t-shirts for the best dancers!”

TheSatsCoUk: Example backs you girls, but he has a tainted history with The Saturdays. This isn’t going to cause any backstage rivalaries on tour?
Oh My!: “NOOOO! Of course not, we’re sure the girls will agree that you take people as you find them. The girls were lovely when we met for the first time and we’re really excited to be touring the UK with them. We love Example too, and he’s really supportive of us… He thinks it wicked that we’re on The Sats tour, so we think any past beef was all really light hearted.”

TheSatsCoUk: Girl groups are currently exploding on the UK scene, is this a case of ‘girl power’ reborn?
Oh My!: “Can we just say- Girl Power never goes away! We’re just reminding people it’s here. The ‘All Fired Up’ tour is gonna be Girl Power to the max!”

TheSatsCoUk: We agree! The tour is going to be awesome and we are happy you are part of it! Any last messages for TeamSats?
Oh My!: Everybody get ‘Kicking and Screaming’ and ‘Dirty Dancer’ so you can sing along with us on the night… 🙂 Oh My! Let’s Go!

Huge thanks to Alex and Jade and their team for making this Interview possible! Remember that Oh My!’s new single Dirty Dancer is released on November 14th, and you can obviously catch the girls on The Saturdays ‘All Fired Up’ tour which kicks off in Bournemouth on 2nd December!

In:Demand Dance also looking for support acts

Following on from the previous post where you can win the chance to support The Saturdays at their show in Manchester, it seems Bauer Media is doing the same for the Glasgow show:

In:Demand’s Romeo, has teamed up with The Saturdays to offer one lucky listener a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform as a support act for The Saturdays at their forthcoming Glasgow gig at the SECC in December.

The lucky listener will live and breathe the pop star lifestyle for the day and perform a song of their choice on stage to 10,000 people at the SECC in Glasgow on December 13, 2011.

The winner will get the full pop star treatment with their own dressing room complete with hair and make-up artist to finish off their celebrity look, whilst rubbing shoulders backstage with their new celebrity friends, The Saturdays.

Budding artists who think they have star quality should submit a recorded cover song to be judged by The Saturdays ‘artist and repertoire guru’, Jordan Jay and In:Demand’s Romeo.

All entries must be submitted via MP3 or YouTube link at www.indemandscotland.co.uk by Friday, October 28.

A shortlist of five acts will be announced on Friday, November 4.  It’s then up to the public to vote on the website www.indemandscotland.co.uk for their favourite act with voting opening on Monday, November 7.
