Styled To Rock!

You might remember a few months ago our girls where captured filming for a ‘fashion show’ well it seems the said show has now been named!

Cheryl Cole is set to make her television comeback in a new fashion show produced by Rihanna.

The 29-year-old beauty and singer Katy Perry are among those who will guest star in new series Styled To Rock, which is billed as a search for the next big design star.

Miss Cole’s Girls Aloud band mate Nicola Roberts is a mentor on the Sky Living show, along with British designer Henry Holland and stylist Lysa Cooper.

But Miss Cole is among the music stars to appear as a guest judge setting the aspiring hopefuls a creative task before selecting who is best.
The Scissor Sisters, The Saturdays, Pixie Lott, Rizzle Kicks, Tinchy Stryder, Little Mix, Katy B, and Little Boots, are among the others appearing as guest judges.

Twelve hopefuls, selected by Rihanna, will compete to win the series and get a chance to design a unique stage outfit for her London concert.

Each guest artist will set a challenge for the contestants to create outfits they can wear at a variety of important occasions, including a multitude of live performances, shoots and high-profile events.

A spokesman said: ‘There’s no room for mistakes – these are very real briefs – no musical artist wants a fashion disaster on their hands in front of merciless photographers and harsh fashion critics.

‘Styled To Rock will celebrate the extraordinary talent and creativity in the British fashion scene, and search for the next generation of Britain’s most promising fashion designers.’

Rihanna is executive producer on the programme and will appear throughout the series to give advice and critique the work.

She chose Miss Roberts, who is often seen on the front row at shows at London Fashion Week, to appear on the show because of their mutual love of clothes.

Styled to Rock will begin on Sky Living on August 14th at 9pm.

Site Notice regarding this weekends TV

Hey all! Just a notice regarding this weekends television. The girls are set to hit Saturday TV to promote 30 Days – released Sunday. The girls are set to be on:

Saturday: Gaydar Radio – Interview – between 10am-2pm
Saturday: Britain’s Got More Talent – ITV2 – 9.00pm
Sunday: Sunday Brunch – Channel 4 – 10.00am

Update: I think the official site got the dates wrong, Keith Lemon Lemonaid is NEXT Saturday (19th) at 6.15pm according to my TV Guide. My TV Guide only shows them on Sunday Brunch this weekend … so I guess the debut TV performance is on This Morning on Monday? Correct me if I’m wrong here. 🙂

I am out this weekend celebrating my girlfriends birthday in Manchester – for those who aren’t aware I live in London – and I will be without access to a computer from Saturday evening until I get home late on Sunday. Videos might have to wait until Monday when the girls are also on This Morning, so Monday might be a bumper video day for everyone who missed the girls or just want to watch it again and again. I’ll keep everyone up-to-date via Twitter and Facebook.

30 Days TV Promo

Seems @thesaturdays first TV shows are starting to appear on my TV Guide …. starting tomorrow!

Saturday 5th May – 9.25am – Koko Pop (Interview) – Channel 4
Sunday 6th May – 10.00pm – Britain’s Got More Talent – ITV2
Sunday 13th May – 10.00am – Sunday Brunch

Please note I am away this weekend, although I will be around for Koko Pop tomorrow I am leaving my house at 10am so that is unlikely to be on the site quickly. The powers of technology might mean i can get Britain’s Got More Talent on the site on Sunday – I’ll see what I can do 🙂 I will have access to a laptop this weekend, but my schedule for tomorrow is very busy. If worse comes to worse both shows will be on the site this Sunday 🙂

More TV as we find them 🙂

The girls are also on Radio 1 next week too!
