Concerts!

Awesome, the girls are seemingly giving us a taste of summer right now. I presume they will only be performing as a 4 piece, but our calls are being answered team sats! The girls have confirmed another summer show this morning, at the Scarbrough Open Air Theatre on August 24th. So right now the girls are performing at:

– Bord Gáis Energy Theatre – Dublin, Ireland 28th March 2013
– Grand National Opening Day – Aintree, Liverpool 4th April 2013
– Newmarket Racecourse –  Newmarket, Suffolk Saturday 8th June 2013
– Scarborough Open Air Theatre – Scarborough, North Yorkshire Saturday 24th August 2013

We will no doubt be at a couple of these (and more if they add more!) so hopefully will see some of you there! These events the girls are named headliners or co-headliners so will put on a fuller show (60mins+) rather than just 3 or 4 songs and leave 🙂

Festivals across the summer months are still being announced, including major radio events such as the Summertime Ball. Hopefully the girls will be making an apperance at some of these too! 🙂

Monday Roundup

Hey all! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I spent the weekend in Blackpool catching another concert – by Little Mix – they put on a decent show, it had to be said so if you want a girl group fix and need a gig you won’t go far wrong with them, a good night out!

Back to our girls tho, this is a roundup of what has happened over the last few days. Chasing The Saturdays aired both in the UK (Episode 2) and in the US (Episode 4) last night, as per the US-speed of the show a VEVOLift video has been added, here’s some #DeepFriedSats ..

The Saturdays also seem to have a new-founded gambling habit. As well as appearing at Antree the girls (alongside Lawson) are also headlining a night at Newmarket Racecourse on June 8th.

To round up, and going back to my opening, the girls are feeling bad for One Direction’s Zayn and Little Mix’s Perrie.

Rochelle Humes told heat radio: “They’re gonna get that. Sadly it comes with the territory and that’s one of the downsides.”

Frankie Sandford added: “I feel quite bad for them. Perrie and Zayn, considering One Direction are one of the biggest boybands in the world and Perrie is in Little Mix, you don’t actually know much about their relationship. You feel a bit for them.  It’s out of their hands.”

Chasing The Saturdays Episode 3, Radio 1 ..

Hey all! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Firstly first, @TheSaturdays will be on BBC Radio 1 TOMORROW (Tuesday) from 6.30am. I assume this is to officially premiere the UK version of What About Us with Sean Paul. A premiere date of around this time makes sense as its around 6 weeks before the actual release date, hopefully the video will be following shortly.

Those in North America can rejoice! The Chasing The Saturdays EP is now available to grab digitally on iTunes. I know a lot of US Fans will already have the songs, but it is of high importance that everyone in the US does download it, I mean its only $4.99, and it support the girls! So spread the word and get buying!

We’re gonna have #SatsOnTheBeach … Episode 3 of Chasing The Saturdays aired on E! (USA) last night, apparently Canada got Episode 2 and Episode 1 airs in the UK THIS Sunday (keeping up?) Here’s the official youtube breakdown of the episode with the girls.

Talking Chasing The Saturdays and the UK, if you are in the UK do an iTunes search for ‘Chasing The Saturdays’ and a link does appear, so it looks like we will be able to purchase the show here. Obviously we will find out more a week or so today! As per our stance (ever since day 1) if a show/song is available to legally buy somewhere we won’t put it on the site. Support our girls and buy the show (when it becomes available) 🙂

The girls also say that the only thing they have in common with the Kardashian’s is that they are on the same TV Network!

Rochelle Humes, 23, has spoken out about the comparison, claiming that the girl’s reality show will be focused on their music.

She said: “We aren’t the new Kardashians – we’re nothing like them. We love their show, but what do they do? We’ve performed professionally for years.”

“People used to call us ‘the new Girls Aloud’, and we have worked with them and they are lovely, but if we are the new anything then ‘the new Spice Girls’ gets us more excited.”

News Pieces – 17th September 2012

Firstly sorry for the lack of updates recently, juggling the site, University work and life can get a bit taxing at times and as you can probably understand the website comes last in that list of three so has suffered a bit recently, but here’s an update to say everything is good and well!

Tomorrow see’s my birthday .. so all gifts, cards, presents are accepted and trying to steal the limelight from that 😉 our girls are in Birmingham – on the rare occasion that I’m seemingly not there – signing copies of their new calendar! So if you are in the area make sure you pop along and mention that it’s my birthday – they should know who I am 😉 … then again …

The girls are back in the UK for a bit, catching up with friends and family, then they head back over to the US to continue to get their name out there. Still no real news when we will hear the single properly, and if we are going to have to wait until November (or so) until it appears in the UK (thinking of a early January release here ..)

Those who applied to help the site with US news, I’ve not forgotten, contact should be made at some point this week! Just been very very busy recently.

I’ll update the site soon with the latest bits and pieces, and expecting a few presents tomorrow! 😉

Calling Birmingham Fans!

You lucky Birmingham fans! @TheSaturdays are making a rare appearance in the UK on 18th September – which is also my birthday *hint hint* – and are signing copies of the new 2013 calendar in Birmingham! The signing takes place at 5pm at the HMV Birmingham at The Fort. So if you are going and you want to get me a lovely birthday present ….

The Saturdays confirm new UK tour

The Saturdays have announced plans for their next UK tour.

The group, who are currently in the middle of a 17-date sold out jaunt, told fans during their gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo that they will hit the road again in December this year.

“Tonight we’re very excited to announce some special news,” Frankie Sandford told the audience. “Following the success of the ‘Headlines!’ tour, we’ll be touring the UK again this December.

“We’re going to announce the dates very soon, so make sure to look out for them. Are you all going to come?”

The band also revealed that they are currently working on their next studio album, which is due for release later this year.
