The All Fired Up Tour

News Bits: Mollie, All Fired Up Tour, What About Us

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates recently as those who follow us on twitter will know I spent the weekend in Sheffield, whilst catching the Steps Christmas show with my girlfriend. Really good fun pop show, would love to see The Saturdays doing a couple of fun filled smaller shows 🙂

Just a brief roundup as it’s looking increasingly likely that December is going to be a barron month with The Saturdays too, although I do hope that we will see the ‘What About Us’ music video shortly as if they are supposedly releasing it in January … unless of course they mean the song will be premiered in January and we will have to wait until Feb/March to get hold of it!

As you are all aware we are proud of all our efforts to help Mollie pick up the Dyslexia Action It’s Me Choice Award, and thanks to ALL your efforts Mollie picked up over 70% of the entire vote and won the award for the Second Year. This week’s flip takes you behind the scenes of the award show. We send out our huge congratulations to Mollie for winning this award again! A true inspirational dyslexic!

Also if you have been following us on twitter, and not living under a rock, it’s that scary time when we look back at a year ago and go ‘where has the time gone?!’ believe it or not it was a YEAR AGO when the All Fired Up Tour kicked off. We went to 4 nights last year, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Brighton and Wembley. Met a whole bunch of people, and had a good time. But seriously its been a year already?! If you have any tour memories drop us a tweet and we’ll RT you!

Talking about ‘What About Us’ and a huge thanks to everyone who e-mailed us about this. The song has actually entered a US chart. What About Us entered at number 44 (don’t giggle its a great start, they are unknown there remember!) in the US Dance/Club Songs. This chart is based on songs played at clubs in the US – the US chart is a bit more modern than the traditional UK based sales charts. Well done girls!

All Fired Up … in Dublin!

@thesaturdays roll into Dublin this evening to perform on the final *sob sob* night of the All Fired Up Tour. It didn’t seem two seconds ago that the tour was announced, and now we are here at the final final night.

If you are going to the last show tonight, have an awesome time, and show the girls how much we do really appricate them!

The tour was filmed in Manchester on 9th December, so hopefully that will see a future DVD release for the girls, if this is along side a new album release, or a re-release of ‘On Your Radar’ only time will show.

All Fired Up in Glasgow!

The @thesaturdays All Fired Up tour moves into Scotland – where it is seemingly a Winter Wonderland – as snow is falling in places!

The girls hit Glasgow this evening as the next stop of the All Fired Up tour hits the SECC. If you are popping along, I’m sure you will have a great night, as this exciting tour starts to sadly come to it close 🙁

Tour Section Update

As promised our news pages are tour spoiler free, but I just want to make people aware that we’ve updated the tour pages with reviews submitted by visitors and some reviews from the media (all of which are pretty good, have to say!) remember if you have been, please submit YOUR review of the tour and we will add it with the rest of them 🙂

Oh My! cover Higher

@OhMyOfficial have covered Higher! If you’ve been to the awesome All Fired Up Tour you might have caught the support act Oh My! Or even met them after their performance! As they mention on stage they have covered the girls Higher. The song was produced by MNEK who also produced songs on The Saturdays ‘On My Radar’ album which is out to buy now!

If you like this, you can download it from Oh My!’s Facebook page

All Fired up in Manchester!

@thesaturdays roll up to Manchester this evening as the All Fired Up tour will play its biggest night of the tour. The (rather large) Manchester Evening News Arena is the venue tonight for THE tour of the festive season. Despite the girls not using the upper tiers tonight, this has the potential to be the biggest attended night of the tour.

To all those going have a wonderful evening, remember if you do go send us in your review, we will be posting up all the reviews this weekend, and any other bits and pieces we have missed, full service is resuming soon 🙂

AFU Tour – Day 2 – Liverpool

@thesaturdays continue their tour journey, after the huge opening night in Bournemouth last night – remember if you attended make sure you give us your review of the show – the girls zip across England and hit the historical music town of Liverpool at the Echo Arena.

Either we are crazy, or just plain mad (or both) but we have also made the trip from Bournemouth to Liverpool! If you want any pictures/gossip/events from Liverpool make sure you follow our twitter account @TheSatsCoUk as we might tweet a few pictures etc.

This is the first ‘traditional’ arena stop of the tour, so we will see how this pans out. If you are going have an awesome time, I’m sure we will too!!
