Summertime Ball!

Yesterday we where at the Summertime Ball, and obviously our girls where also performing. I have their entire show on my camera, but Capital are showing highlights from the event tonight at 7pm on their TV channel, which you can stream online via their website

Capital have also put up the performance of ‘All Fired Up’ on the site, which you can view here. They have also put up the performance of ‘Forever Is Over’

The girls performed All Fired Up, Forever Is Over, Gentleman and What About Us. Not sure why they included ‘Forever Is Over’ and for some reason the girls performance was the only one that seemed to suffer from audio problems at the venue too. Which didn’t really help the 80,000 odd people there watching, but hey can’t do much about technical problems.

The whole day was really good tho, seeing 80,000 people doing Gangnam Style or bobbing around to Taylor Swift was really great πŸ™‚

Glamour Awards, Frankie and more!

A news roundup from around The Saturdays!

First up the girls attended the Glamour UK Awards last night! They also picked up Best Band at the award show, soΒ congratulationsΒ to the girls! πŸ™‚Β Each of our girls looked very glam on the red carpet it has to be said! Check out a couple of pictures below. Frankie was showing off her new longer hair for the first time at a public event, what do you think about her new look? Give us a tweet!Β As I (keep) saying hopefully I will get around to updating the gallery shortly, I just need to find some time to find the images and upload them, please keep following our twitter account @TheSatsCoUk for the latest on the gallery updates as and when they happen

Talking Frankie, she has been talking about her pregnancy.
Asked about Rochelle’s daughter, Sandford told Star magazine: “It’s making me really impatient! I’m like, ‘Oh I want it to be out now’Β She also insisted that she is “fine” about continuing The Saturdays’ dance routines while pregnant, but “might have to slightly lower the heel”.Β Β

Check back later in the day as we will also be adding Frankie on Sweat The Small Stuff – to complete the show, Mollie and Vanessa are on the show next week! Plus the girls where on that ‘The Show With Vinny’ on MTV US last week, we will have the girls on there also πŸ™‚

Big Weekend, Frankie goes shopping

Hey all! Hope those in the UK enjoyed the long weekend, all back to work today, in which – in typical UK style – seems to be the last nice weather day for a few days!

As we all sit and wait to hear when Gentleman will get its UK radio premiere, the girls have been added to this years ‘BBC Radio 1’ big weekend. The girls are set to perform on the Saturday (of course!) , this year the event takes place in Derry, Londonderry between 24th-26th May. The event has no tickets left, as the majorty of tickets are ballotted to local residents. But don’t panic the entire weekend is going to be shown across the BBC, on TV, radio and of course online. We will also have the girls performances on the site too πŸ™‚

Below I’ve added some pictures from the news of her shopping for wedding dresses the other day!

Recording, Ben, Una, Mollie, FHM

The major news from yesterday seems that despite some ramblings that the girls new album was basically finished, the girls spent yesterday in the recording studio recording with DJ Fresh. With the wide variety of producers that the girls have used, all of whom produce different styles of music, its hard to pinpoint what the final album might actually sound like!

In other news in the annual FHM Top 100 ‘sexiest’ – UK – two of our girls managed to get into the Top 100! Mollie was voted the 18th ‘most sexiest’ followed by Frankie who was voted the ’37th’ most sexiest.

Ben Foden has been talking to ‘Attitude’ magazine and has been talking about how he picked Una after ‘spotting her on television’ – lets hope it was a little more romantic than that πŸ˜‰

Talking relationships there is a (awful lot) of media interest in Mollie and Jordan, seems a tad over the top to me, but hey thats the media for you. And apparently Mollie’s ‘friend’ has said that she was ‘feeling lonely’ being the only single member … not quite sure what ‘friend’ goes to the media but hey!

For those wanting to hear the girls interview in Ireland on TodayFM, you can listen to it here – thanks to Jennie for the link πŸ™‚

Those awaiting a video for ‘Sweat The Small Stuff’ it should be on the site later this evening πŸ™‚

Summertime Ball 2013

SummerTime2013

Firstly @TheSaturdays have been announced as part of this years CapitalFM Summer Time ball, the event is hosted by Justin Timberlake and also includes performances from Robbie Williams, Olly Murs, Taylor Swift and more. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning, it takes place at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday 9th June!

The other dominating news story of the last 24hours is the break up of JLS. I’m sure many of you out there are as surprised as I was about the news, all seems a little suddern and strange, but the lads (and Marvin obviously) all have new plans. It’s always disapointing when a group splits up but its also good to remember the good times too, plus they are still touring at the end of the year!

Fusion Festival

fusion-festival-birmingham-logo-2

Our girls have been added to a new summer festival taking place over the weekend of August 31st-September 1st at Cofton Park, Birmingham.

Our girls are set to perform on the Sunday – 1st September – which is due to be headlined by Ne-Yo. Other acts on the Sunday include The Wanted, Conor Maynard, Wretch 32 and James Arthur. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am, costing between Β£35-Β£55 for a day ticket and Β£90-95 for a weekend ticket to take in both days.

Also our own Una has become a online blogger for Hello Magazine, of which her first blog will be online this Friday πŸ™‚

The girls finally fly over to mainland Europe today, to the traditional stop of Germany. Hopefully the girls can make a name for theirselves in Germany and then (usually) that success flows over the borders to other places such as Belgium, Holland, Spain, Italy etc. then they will become a known name in Europe, so *fingers crossed* any new UK Tour will become a fully-fledged European one! πŸ™‚

We will bring you all the updates from across Europe as we find it, but if you live in Germany and notice we miss something please send it over to us via e-mail ([email protected]) or via our twitter @TheSatsCoUk and we will post it on the site πŸ™‚

The Saturdays get cheeky!

the-saturdays-malteasers

Today British girl group The Saturdays announce they have joined Maltesers to encourage the nation to β€˜let its lighter side out’ and help raise over Β£1million this Red Nose Day.

Maltesers is a proud partner of Red Nose Day for a second time, and will donate 5p from every special pack sold straight to Comic Relief. It is hoped that the pop princesses will inspire others to get involved and help Maltesers to reach their target of at least Β£1million for Comic Relief.

The Saturdays have been letting their lighter sides out by taking part in a range of Maltesers Cheeky Challenges. From picking up Maltesers using a pair of chopsticks, to taking part in a singing competition where the five stars battled it out to be the last girl balancing Maltesers on their tongue whilst β€˜singing’ at the same time (the first person to chew is the loser!) – the challenges left the girls in fits of giggles from doing something funny for money.

The Saturdays-member, Mollie King, said:

Everyone needs to let their lighter side out once in a while. We had so much fun trying out the Maltesers Cheeky Challenges – the girls all tease me for being a bit competitive but my desire to win paid off when I was victorious! You don’t have to do a big challenge to be involved – just get a packet of Maltesers and try some Cheeky Challenges with your friends and family, and help Maltesers smash the Β£1million target!

The girls are on This Morning today (or a feature is on This Morning today) to discuss this! Video incoming!
