Frankie joins 2014 Strictly Come Dancing

p024p1zc

It’s been rumoured for years, but finally it has been confirmed that our very own Frankie Bridge will be joining the 2014 Strictly Come Dancing lineup!

“I’m such a huge fan of Strictly! I’ve always wanted to be a part of the show – it looks like so much fun and the costumes are just gorgeous” said Frankie.

“Like so many little girls, I used to take dance lessons when I was in primary school and I really love dancing but this is going to be so different from anything I have done with The Saturdays. I just can’t wait to get started!”.

The 25 year-old is no stranger to the spotlight, having shot to fame at the age of 12 with the young pop group S Club Juniors. By the age of 16, she had amassed six top-ten singles with the group.

In 2007, Frankie successfully auditioned for a new girl-band, The Saturdays. As part of the five-piece girl group she has had four top-ten albums and thirteen top-ten singles, including hits such as “Ego”, “Issues”, “Missing You” and their first number one single, “What About Us”.

Frankie was born in Upminster. She is married to footballer Wayne Bridge and has a baby son called Parker.

Woop! Awesome news, we will be support Frankie when the show returns to the BBC this Autumn!

Women’s Rugby World Cup!

The Saturdays and a raft of other celebrities lend their support to the England Ladies Rugby Union team!

The 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC). Hosted in and around Paris between August 1 & 17, the 12 best women’s rugby nations are set to compete for the right to be crowned world champions.

What Are You Waiting For? Plus Una goes solo!

Just in case you needed reminding, the new single (and album!) from the girls is out in under just TWO WEEKS! What Are You Waiting For? was also performed last night at the Leicester Music Festival, we where in attendance, the girls performed a selection of songs from their forthcoming Greatest Hits album, all this minus Frankie who wasn’t with the girls – presumably on her honeymoon, but (for whatever reason) the girls never announced why she was missing!

Here is the performance of ‘What Are You Waiting For?’ which was recorded by myself, so please refrain from reuploading the video, just use the embed links on Vimeo and credit us here at the-saturdays.co.uk

Una also went solo in Ireland (I’m joking!) she appeared on the RTE show Saturday Night with Miriam. Sadly with this being an RTE show we don’t have the full show but here’s Una performing Issues:

Mollie’s Birthday Book 2014

Hey all. These pictures will probably end up all over the Internet before I post them, so a quick post now.

Note please ask permission before using these pictures, as myself, Rosie and Claire are actually IN the picture and we probably don’t want it on every site going. If you want to use the picture or are using the picture please tweet us and inform us first. Twitter names are below. Many thanks 🙂

This weekend gone myself (@TheSatsCoUk), Rosie (@marvelousmollie) and Claire (@idekclxire), where lucky enough to be allowed backstage at Westfield London to present Mollie with her 2014 Birthday Book.

We where taken downstairs to the basement of the shopping centre to a small dressing room to chat with Mollie and present her with this years birthday book and of course the amazing £550 that you raised for Dyslexia Action.

Full details of what went down, apart from lots of hugs, selfies and chat, will be available to VIEW shortly (if you get what I mean 😉 )

Again, I want to personally thank EVERYONE who was involved with the book. Be it those who created the wonderful covers for the book and it’s sections, from those who took time to create a page or pages for the book, and also to everyone who donated. You are ALL individual and unique to this years birthday book, and watch this space for ideas on how to get involved in the 2015 book 🙂

Casio Sheen

Hey all! Again sorry for the lack of updates recently, been at two concerts in the last week (Little Mix, Katy Perry) and are currently posting this update from a hotel in Leeds as I’m working alongside Rosie (@marvelousmollie) on Mollie’s birthday book – so many people have sent in great work so this will keep us busy this weekend!

Casio Sheen & The Saturdays

The Saturdays are the 2014 ambassadors for the Casio Sheen range of watches – which are available to buy now from H. Samuel or via their website

“Bringing The Saturdays on board as ambassadors was a natural choice because they genuinely reflect  the values of the Sheen brand. The way the girls remain effortlessly elegant whilst juggling a pop career  alongside young families and numerous multimedia ventures is both inspirational and accessible. We  know this will resonate strongly with our target audience.” She adds “The ladies market is a huge  growth area for us, and Casio Sheen’s unique combination of fashion-inspired styling and technological excellence is designed to meet the needs of modern women’s lives”. Jennifer Kelly, Senior Product
Marketing Manager, Casio Sheen

“We were thrilled when asked to be the brand ambassador’s for Casio Sheen. The brand is known for  adding elegance and glamour to an outfit and we love dressing up and feeling stylish, so it was just right  for us! The new range has a colourway to suit every outfit, ideal for the girl who loves to accessorize.”
