All Fired Up Tour Plans, Album info

During the girls’ takeover of Capitalfm.com, they revealed that the ‘All Fired Up’ tour is going to be their biggest and best yet.

“It’s an arena tour so there are endless possibilities on the big stage,” said Una.

“We will be having loads of dancers, loads of visuals and we’ll be getting involved in all the creative meetings and making sure we’re styled up as a unit.

“We’ll be introducing out new album on the tour so it’ll be really fresh, but there’ll also be all the old classics so there will be something for all The Saturdays‘ fans.”

As for the new album, Mollie revealed that it’s a particularly special one for the girls. “It’s really personal because we’ve written half of it ourselves,” she said.

“It’s got more dance tracks like ‘Notorious’ and ‘All Fired Up’ but the whole album isn’t like that – we’ve got some classic The Saturday’s tracks on there and we’ve got ballads so there’s a little bit for everybody on it.”

Mollie tweets about todays recording session

@MollieTheSats has just tweeted that todays recording session is along side Rami Yacob and Carl Falk

So excited to be in the studio today with the legends @carlfalkmusic and @TheRamiYacoub!!! Whoop whoop!!!

For those who aren’t aware, Rami Yacob is a songwriter/producer who worked alongside Britney Spears in her early days, and is co-responsible for songs such as Baby One More Time, Oops! I Did It Again and Overprotected. Along with songs from the Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, and even  The Wanted.

Carl Falk (and Rami) recently produced the number one single from Nicole Scherzinger, Don’t Hold Your Breath.

The Saturdays eye Europe

As expected the girls are going to attempt to break into markets across the world. Starting up in Germany as per their recent visit before the Headlines Tour started.

Early news suggests that the lead single will be Higher – due to be released in April – and followed by a album release in the Summer.

I would expect any European release album to be the new UK album with certain songs from their previous UK albums on, so Higher, Ego etc.

Hopefully the news of them hitting Germany will filter around countries nearby such as Holland, France, Spain etc. and the group can start taking on Europe as well as the UK.

More information as we get it 🙂

Edit: Seems to be a lot of scaremongering going on over this item. I’m not reporting this as fact or anything like that, its purely what we’ve heard along the grapevine so to speak. As you are well aware release dates get changed constantly, plans get changed etc. etc.

The group will prioritise the UK over Germany at present anyway, so any new UK single – which could also be due in April/May – will obviously be ahead of any Germany promo.

Headlines – Out Now!

The new album, EP, Headlines is out in the shops today! Not like every good Saturdays fan needs reminding. The mini-album comes with great new songs including the Top 3 single Missing You!

You can also download it without even leaving your computer, directly from iTunes (£5.99) – Where it is already at number one – GO GIRLS! As well as Amazon MP3, 7Digital and other leading – and legal – download sites.

Missing You might have missed out on #1 so lets make sure Headlines makes Headlines and hits #1 🙂

The Saturdays Present “Chasing Lights”

Here we have the official album cover for the group’s debut album, “Chasing Lights”!

A blog was posted on their official myspace, check it out by clicking on the image or the link here.

One of the girls even left put her two cents in:

Wow, here it is, our very first album. Our first of many! Haha…Seriously though, we’re so proud of all of this. It’s been amazing just working with everyone who has had something to do with Chasing Lights. What I love most about it is the variety of tracks on it. I love dancing to the more uptempo tracks but then some of the ballads like, ‘Fall’ are so beautiful. I really hope all the fans enjoy it and I can’t wait to read in the forum what you all think!!!

– Frankie

Remember to pre-order NOW and that the album is slated for an October 27th, 2008 release!

Oh! and a clip of “Keep Her” has been added onto the Saturdays’ official myspace playlist so check that out as well.

“Chasing Lights” pushed Back

The debut album from the girls has been pushed back to the 27th of October is the rumor making the rounds on the internet. Sources such as musicweek are being credited with confirming the devastating news.

Don’t fret though fans, it’s just a few more weeks to go and gives us more time to make sure word is out about the release! In the meantime, for those who haven’t had the chance to see, here are some of the Saturdays recording “Work”!
