Saturdays perform at charity show

The Saturdays have put the sparkle into Christmas with an intimate charity show.

The girl group wore co-ordinated glitzy sequinned mini-dresses to play the Breast Cancer Campaign show at London venue Scala.

Hundreds of lucky fans watched the five-strong band perform at the Concert For A Cure with support from Daisy Dares You and Lauren Pritchard.

The show, supported by Kit Kat Senses, raised £100,000 for the charity.

Mollie King from The Saturdays said: “This is a fantastic event to be involved in. We really hope that we have inspired people to donate money to such an important cause.”

Breast Cancer Awareness month took place in October with Kit Kat Senses donating 10 pence from each special edition pink chocolate bar.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK and accounts for nearly one in three of all cancer cases in women.

Nearly 46,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in the UK each year.

The Saturdays entertain Old Trafford as they perform at charity event for Sport Relief

The appearance of five sexy young woman tottering out onto the pitch is not something that Manchester United fans are usually accustomed to.

But this was no ordinary match day at Old Trafford as girl group The Saturdays were there to take part in a very special charity event.

The girls strutted out onto the pitch at the Premiership stadium today to perform as part of the first ever United Relief Live: The Big Red Day Out in aid of Sport Relief.

They warmed up the 34,000-strong crowd with a selection of their hits as past players and a number of celebrities took part in a charity football match at the stadium.

And they got the crowd cheering as they took to the stage, all in matching little black dresses with silver studded shoulders.

Singer Frankie Sandford said she and her bandmates had been thrilled to take part in the event, which raised money for Sport Relief and the Manchester United Foundation.

She added: ‘Comic Relief reaches so many people and it’s great being able to do what we do and help people at the same time. Today is such a family event, parents can bring their kids and it brings everyone together.’

When we’re not thinking about Danny McFly’s beefed-up body, Robert Pattinson’s dreamy eyes or Danny Dyer’s sexy voice, then we’re thinking a lot about what we’d like for Christmas this year. Given that we probably won’t get any of the above things (sadface), we’ll happily settle for this gorgeous little trinket instead. Designed in collaboration with the lovely Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays, this turquoise leather bracelet with a leaf charm is the perfect little stocking filler for any female friend and – even better – 50p from the sale of every bracelet goes to Richard House Charity which helps to provide care for families who have children with life-threatening conditions.
