index_xmaslivelogo

Is it nearly Christmas already? That’s a scary thought. But the first Christmas Concerts are slowly being announced, I fully expect our girls to be at a few, and they are already confirmed at one!

The first one up is Liverpool’s Radio City ChristmasLive! The girls are confirmed to be performing, the event takes place on Wednesday 10th December at the Echo Arena.

Tickets are on sale now, priced between £30.25 and £79.00 (plus fees), all details can be found on the Radio City ChristmasLive website!

Hopefully this is the first of a few that they will be at over Christmas.

[Ended] Greatest Hits LIVE! – Glasgow Opening Night

It’s ACTUALLY HAPPENING!

The Saturdays are hitting the stage in Glasgow for the opening night of the Greatest Hits Tour. As we promised to keep everything off the front page – we will. Hit the news item after the break to get LIVE INFORMATION from the tour!!

The show has now ended. The tour setlist is on the tour pages. For those who don’t like spoilers I’ll remain quiet but there are some purely epic moments on this tour!

The Saturdays kick of Christmas

Hey all! It’s that time of the week again, no not another update, just Monday!

This weekend The Saturdays kicked off Christmas in style as they performed at not just one, but two, Christmas shows. The weekend kicked off in style in Birmingham at the LG Arena, for Free Radio Live 2013, and finished off at the First Direct Arena in Leeds for Radio Aire’s Xmas Live!

We attended the show in Birmingham, the girls (like in Leeds) where on second-to-last and performed 4 songs, All Fired Up, Higher, Disco Love and What About Us. The Free Radio show was really good and also had performances from Little Mix, The Vamps, Union J and headlined by Mr Olly Murs who was excellent as always.

I know a few of you had popped down to Birmingham or Leeds to catch the girls, and I hope you had an as great time as we did! I’ve added a few pictures below of the girls in Birmingham. If you pop over to our Twitter account, or go directly to our Instagram account, I added a few videos of the girls performing in Birmingham there!

The Saturdays get festive in Bristol

Last night The Saturdays got festive in Bristol as they turned on the Christmas Lights at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway. (Yes I know its only early November!)

The Saturdays then began to fulfil their fans’ needs, starting with the well known song ‘Notorious’. They urged the crowd to dance along to keep the crowd warm from the cold. The Saturdays then continued with both recent and older songs such as ‘Higher’, ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’, ‘Ego’, ‘Up’, ‘Forever Is Over’, ‘Issues’, ‘All Fired Up’, ‘Disco Love’ and finishing with their first no. 1, ‘What About Us’. The Saturdays also treated one special fan by singing Happy Birthday, after seeing from a banner it was a female fan’s birthday. The girls accompanied some great songs with some great dance routines!

There’s a video on the ITV West Country website, (which is blocked for me at work so I can’t see what it is) but here’s a link to the article.

The Saturdays launch 2013 Poppy Appeal

Last night our girls, along with some other music stars, launched the 2013 Poppy Appeal with a concert for armed forces families.

The even was organised by the Royal British Legion who hope the Poppy Appeal 2013 will manage to raise £37 million, for this  year’s focus – the families of Army, Royal Air Force and Navy personnel.

So make sure you go buy your poppy everyone!

Buy a Nokia, see the girls!

All We Want for Christmas is The Saturdays

We start this Thursday with the (sad) news that the new album ‘Living For The Weekend’ had an almighty fall in the midweek charts. The Radio 1 update from yesterday has suggested its taken a 24 place fall to number 34. So if you’ve not bought a copy yet, now will be a good time! The album currently sits at the lower half of iTunes (It’s round 190) so its a good time to buy!

In other news, the girls have teamed up with Nokia and the Carphone Warehouse. They are giving the chance for 20 people to attend a special private concert in February 2014. The catch? You must buy a brand new Nokia Lumia 520 or Nokia Asha 210 handset from Carphone Warehouse.

Further to this, the girls have curated a unique mix of their all time favourite tracks, available only on Nokia Mix Radio, by scanning the QR code in store. One of the tracks is a special message to their fans and an insight into their mix choice.

The Saturdays said, “We had a great time putting together our Nokia exclusive playlist. We can’t wait to perform the special gig for 20 lucky fans in February 2014. Being close to our fans is really important to us, so thank you Nokia for the opportunity to perform such an intimate show.”

“One track we ALL agreed needed to be included was Miley’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ – it definitely feels like the song of the moment with the video that EVERYONE is talking about.”

These exclusive The Saturdays promotional handsets are available nationwide at Carphone Warehouse.

Nokia Lumia 520 – £99.95 (Minimum £10 top up is required)

Nokia Asha 210 – £49.95 (Minimum £10 top up is required)

No Tour … yet! Announcement ‘soon’.

As you are probably like the rest of us, waiting Tour News, apparently it will be happening but not yet …

Rochelle was at BBC Radio 1 this morning and the tour was brought up:

Rochelle Humes has confirmed that The Saturdays are waiting for Frankie Sandford to return from maternity leave before going on their next tour.

“She would absolutely kill us if we went on tour without her,” she said.

“It’s her favourite thing to do so we’ll all be there together. It’ll be the five of us back in force together on tour.”

The singer confirmed that plans were in place and the band would be announcing dates “very soon”.

Sandford is expecting her first baby with her fiance, the footballer Wayne Bridge.

Humes recently returned to the group after having her first baby, a daughter named Alaia-Mai.

Her husband Marvin Humes, who found fame on The X Factor with JLS, has announced that he will be co-presenting BBC One talent show The Voice.

“I think he’s still very much an X Factor man,” said Rochelle Humes.

“I think it’s just a different career change for him as a presenting role. It came up at a good time.

“He actually spoke to Simon Cowell and the team and told them he was going to do it before he took the job, so all is cool there. It’s just an exciting new job for him.”

Humes also said they would both be returning to host ITV’s This Morning.

“It’s funny because I’m doing a little more presenting and more TV,” she said. “But I’ve actually always done it.

“I did that before The Saturdays so it’s come up as things have got better with us. I’ve just said yes to stuff and we all like to try things on our own now and again.”

Their fourth studio album, Living For the Weekend, was released on 14 October.

“When we’ve been credited we’ve really been involved in the writing and I think that’s important,” she said.

“We’re excited that it’s out now.”

The Saturdays hit Kent!

Last night The Saturdays hit the Glow, a new music venue at the Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent. I was very fortunate to have a Meet & Greet with the band too. For those wondering, I chatted to Una and Rochelle – who said she will follow us on Twitter, as the others do, so if you are reading this Rochelle @TheSatsCoUk 🙂 – about this website, Adam also came over to talk about this very site and how the girls and their management enjoy what we do, and that they check it daily, so Hi to everyone at Fascination and the girls!

As for the show, the girls obviously welcomed back Rochelle, but lost Frankie! But still it was a great show, just over an hour long as the girls played all the hits, and they still include the rather epic ‘Get Ready, Get Set’ which gets a thumbs up from me, and Mollie apparently who seemingly loves the song as much as the rest of us!

If you are going to V next week, or Scarborough the week after you are in for a treat for the August headlining shows thats for sure 🙂 I’ve added a few videos from tomorrow below, so please enjoy, including a performance of ‘Chasing Lights’ … no thats not a typo 🙂
