The girls continue their US Takeover

It’s all go go go in @TheSaturdays world now. The girls flew from LA to New York over the weekend, although Mollie ended up back in the UK for just under 2 days – no no she didn’t get the wrong flight, she attended a family wedding. She is now flying back to the US as the girls perform their first show in The Big Apple – New York City – this weekend as they start from the ground up in making their name in the mighty United States!

Una’s little one Aoife made her way back to the UK over the weekend and Una is making the trip back herself after their gig in NYC this week, so those who where worried the girls wouldn’t be back that often don’t need to panic as they keep popping back!

As most people know the girls performed their new single ‘What About Us’ at the Perez Hilton VMA aftershow party on Thursday, lots of clips have appeared online but with Universal Music removing them left, right and centre I’ve decided not to post anything up here. If you want to see the clips have a look around online I’m sure you will find it. Either way it can’t be that long – even if the actual release is in January – until we hear it probably as they will have to serve it to US Radio within the next 6 weeks or so?!

We will start going though everyone who contacted us regarding helping with the US stuff. It is important that we have a few people from the US lending a hand, what with time differences and other factors there is a chance we could miss something on TV or Radio etc. We hope to bring the best we can to our US visitors. For starters if you hover over home at the top of the page we now have a dedicated page for US News and events, more refinements are coming as we go on so keep an eye open 🙂

The Saturdays play Thurles

Seems @TheSaturdays have another show lined up this summer. This time on Sunday 3rd June at the Thurles Greyhound Track. Tickets went on sale this morning at 9am and you can pick up your tickets via Ticketmaster, tickets are priced at €38.50. There is also a competition to win tickets via the local radio station Spin South West. This is a proper The Saturdays concert by the looks of things, they aren’t playing as part of a festival with lots of other acts. The girls are at present absent from a lot of the summer shows that have been announced, V Festival, Chester Rocks etc. Shows that they have appeared at in the past, and at present are currently headlining other events. Hopefully more will appear as we move into Spring.

The Saturdays headline Wave 105 Live!

Seems @thesaturdays really have no plans to stop whilst Una has her little-un. Infact is Una even stopping? Either way The Saturdays are the first confirmed act of Wave 105 Live taking place at the Bournemouth BIC on Saturday 31st March! Tickets go on sale this Friday costing £17.50 plus all the normal booking fees etc.

The Saturdays get Tickled Pink

To celebrate Tickled Pink’s 15th anniversary, Asda will be hosting the perfect ‘Girls’ Night Out’ at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in West London on 12th January 2012.  The star-studded line-up includes fantastic vocals from Breast Cancer Care Ambassador Alexandra Burke and friends, with performances from Chipmunk and Dionne Bromfield plus special guests The Saturdays.  Not only will this be a great night of entertainment it will also help raise vital funds for two important breast cancer charities, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign.

There’s never been a better reason for a big night out with the girls as 100% of ticket sales will be donated to Tickled Pink, which has so far raised a total of £25 million for the charities and £4 million last year alone thanks to the fundraising efforts of Asda customers, colleagues and suppliers.  Join the 15th anniversary celebrations by simply buying a ticket to the concert and having a fantastic ‘Girls’ Night Out’ with Alexandra Burke and friends.

Alexandra Burke, said:  “When Asda told me about their ‘Girls’ Night Out’ concert I couldn’t wait to get everyone involved. It is going to be such a great evening of music and entertainment all in aid of a really important cause.

“I’ve been a Breast Cancer Care Ambassador for a number of years now and am delighted to work with Asda in supporting their campaign and helping them to continue the fantastic work that they do to support breast cancer charities. A ‘Girls’ Night Out’ has never been more exciting or significant – see you there!”

Judith McKenna, Chief Operating Officer at Asda, said: “This event marks 15 years of fundraising and £25 million raised by Asda colleagues and shoppers to date. The ‘Girls’ Night Out’concert is an uplifting way for people around the UK to get involved in fundraising for two important breast cancer charities, raising money for both the much needed research into breast cancer and after care.  With all proceeds going directly to the Tickled Pink campaign – this event provides a great night out and for a great cause.”

Tickets retail from £30 and are available to buy now online at www.ticketmaster.co.ukFor more information visit Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign website at   http://charities.asda.com/tickled-pink

‘All Fired Up’ first performance

I am attending this show, along with tons of other fans no doubt, so we should have some good videos of the performance 🙂

[Updated] Headlines Live! [True HD]

As promised last week @TheSaturdays Headlines Live! Show aired on Channel4 this morning, its the same video as I posted last week sadly, but this one is in far better quality, and is actually in TrueHD (not-made HD from a non-HD source) so maybe the tour will be released on bluray DVD too? Either way enjoy this viewing, its far better quality than the one last week! 🙂

>>

This file is actually in sync for the whole video now! HD Capping is a new thing to me and it’s not gone as planned at all!

This file is captured by us – so if you embed this video on your own site, please give us a link back – it takes a lot of work to edit a HD file over a standard one – so please give us a link back, I really don’t want to put ugly tags on HD files and ruin it – thanks 🙂
