What About Us has sold over 87,000 copies between Sunday and Thursday and looks set to break the 100,000 mark this week, which is awesome, so if you’ve not bought it, or not got those remixes yet, please please buy them before 11.59pm on Saturday night to count for this weeks chart š
Yesterday Mollie and Vanessa when to KISS FM to answer your questions, keep watching and you might hear a name that you might recognise š
Today the girls continued their promo of what looks certain to be a number one single for them (yay!) as the girls hit Loose Women, check out the Interview with Una and Rochelle and the performance of What About Us below:
Today – not tooĀ unsurprisingĀ with the girls surge on iTunes today – ‘What About Us’ was named at number one on the BigTop40. Obviously we are still a long way off them being crowed Number One on the official chart, but this is a good start!
The road is still very long, the official charts aren’t announced until NEXT Sunday and sales for this chart count until 11.59pm THIS SATURDAY so we need to keep buying, the song, and KEEP PROMOTING the girls to everyone we know to make sure the girls STAY at number 1 on iTunes for as long as possible. Please scroll down to the Sunday Brunch videos below to download What About Us from iTunes, Amazon MP3 (and the remixes) EVERY SALE COUNTS!
The girls popped into BBC Radio 1 this afternoon to have a chat with presenter Greg James (and have a bit of a laugh) if you missed it, or want to relive it, hit the play button below š
Make sure you tell us what you think via twitter @TheSatsCoUk and Facebook!
Sorry this has taken a bit of time to get online, my computer isn’t behaving well, if anyone is kind enough to donate me a new top-of-the-range machine I can get these online quicker š
fThis Morning the girls visited, This Morning, to talk about Chasing The Saturdays, Mollie looking for her name, and of course their money making for Children In Need, catch the video below:
Also here is the first weekly challenge from the girls:
Hey all! Just a quick message to say I’m back from my mini-break. Girls Aloud was pretty amazing, thanks to everyone who asked questions about it on Twitter, hope I answered what I can! If you are going expect a good night š
Not much news to report on the last few days, Mollie has been over in LA overseeing her song being recording with AJ from the Backstreet Boys (as reported previously) – seemingly being produced by The Jam – who have worked on the new material for the new Saturdays album too!
Chasing The Saturdays airs in the UK tonight (but not in America I believe, the next episode is due there on 3rd March) so make sure you tune into E! at 10pm to catch it!
Also – in US news – the US Billboard Charts now count youtube views towards their singles chart. So if you are watching ‘What About Us’ on youtube PLEASE make sure you watch it on their official VEVO site, and not someone who has just downloaded it and reuploaded it, as only official youtube/vevo plays count to the charts. So if you are bored this afternoon give it a spin on VEVO š
The only news item I could find that is worthy of posting was an interview the girls did with Orange of which the most exciting part (for me is)
What will 2013 hold for you and can we expect a new UK tour at some point? Fingers crossed…
We definitely hope to be going out on tour again this year, so stay tuned about that. We’re now finishing up our album which comes out later this year, plus we’re planning some trips to brand new territories like Germany and Australia which is all really exciting. It’s going to be a big year for us Sats.
Fingers crossed for a tour this year then. We have our tickets for Scarborough in August, so hopefully will see a few of you there! š
First thing to say is that its FRIDAY! (Our second favourite day of the week – obviously). Secondly its also now February .. where is the year going?!
Another day, another update, to say its been busy the last month has been an understatement thats for sure!
Firstly a roundup from Twitter, as a few people have already noticed What About Us is basically set to be released everywhere over the next few months. It will be almost impossible for us to report where the song is charting everywhere, so if you are visiting from a country we don’t usually report on please drop us a message (see the Social menu at the top) and we will add it to the news š
Secondly the girls popped into KissFM the other day who have kindly sent over some information for us to post š
During the interview, they told us aboutĀ an embarrassing situation withĀ Sean Paul, Rochelle being kept up at night by an āamorousā couple next door andĀ Mollieās run-in with the law.
RochelleĀ also discussed shopping and her new home set-up with husband Marvin from JLS.
Plus,Ā Mollie KingĀ told usĀ about her worst ever Valentineās date, the currently single star revealed that she once accidentally went out with her mum on V-Day.
āI once went to the cinema with my mum, it was the worst,ā she says.āI didnāt realise it was Valentineās and everyone was… there were smooching couples around and I was like, āmum letās just leave this is embarrassing.āāand plans for this year.
The girls also fight over whoāll be babysitting Rochelle &Ā Marvin JLSās baby!
This morning our girls popped into the Daybreak studios to discuss their new TV show, Chasing The Saturdays, which premieres on E! this Sunday in the UK. Plus to talk about their new single What About Us (released in March, pre-order NOW from iTunes) and to answer some questions from fans on Twitter. You can watch the videos below š
