Sandford ‘house-hunting after break-up’

Sandford 'house-hunting after break-up'

Saturdays star Frankie Sandford is searching for a new home following her split from McFly’s Dougie Poynter, a report has claimed. The singer is keen to find the perfect ‘bachelorette pad’ where she can focus on having fun with her friends and bandmates, according to The Mirror. A source told the newspaper: “It will be no boys allowed as she doesn’t want the drama. For now it’s all about performing with the band and girlie nights.” Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Sandford had split from Poynter following a romance which had lasted for more than a year. It is thought that the pair are blaming work commitments for the break-up. Sandford has since been linked to JLS member Aston Merrygold, but neither party has spoken publicly about the rumours.

Did Frankie and Dougie split up?

Celebrity couple Frankie Sandford, The Saturdays, and Dougie Poynter, McFly are rumoured to have split up. The couple have been referred to as the new ‘Posh and Becks’ and ‘perfect for each other’, but is it all over now?

Well, nobody is really sure if this is true or not. All we know is that they stopped following each other on Twitter. This shouldn’t mean anything, but they were following each other before, so it’s a bit strange.

Also, Dallas Austin (McFly’s producer red.) mentioned in a Ustream video he did with McFly that Dougie is a single man. At the time it was thought of as a joke. Dougie wasn’t there himself so even if he’d wanted to, he couldn’t have argued his statement. Band members Danny and Tom laughed at Dallas’ comment and Tom said, ‘Naughty Dallas.’

A few other clues have appeared on Twitter…
Frankie has also stopped following Tom, Danny and Harry, as well as Tom’s girlfriend Giovanna – someone she has previously seemed close to.
Frankie reportedly tweeted something to Callum Best along the lines of “I’m scared that we’re rushing it” (although this tweet has now been deleted, and so has the tweet by Callum that she was replying to!).
Frankie’s recent tweets have indicated that she is living with her mum at the moment.

It proves nothing of course, but it’s all a little odd. What do you think, are Dougie and Frankie still together and is it all a big hoax, or is their relationship over?

UPDATE, 1 March: Today we asked Dallas Austin (on Ustream) if Dougie was single, he replied with “Yes Dougie is single, he’s looking for a girlfriend, he’s lonely”. Dougie laughed and walked away. Dallas then added “He’s not really single guys… he has a boyfriend.”

Popstar to Operastar Deet’s Confirmed!

The lineup and judging panel for new ITV1 series Popstar To Operastar has been confirmed.

Hosted by Myleene Klass and Alan Titchmarsh, the show will feature ten famous popstars training to perform famous opera songs.

The celebrities taking part include Blur bassist Alex James, veteran singer Bernie Nolan, McFly’s Danny Jones and Pop Idol star Darius Campbell. Jimmy Osmond, ex-Hear’Say singer and Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, Shakespeare’s Sister star Marcella Detroit and Vanessa White from girlband The Saturdays complete the lineup.

All the contestants will be coached by mentors Katherine Jenkins and Rolando Villazon before performing live on Friday night, when one hopeful will be voted off each week.

Jenkins and Villazon will be joined on the judging panel by Meatloaf and Classic FM DJ Laurence Llewlyn-Bowen.

Britain’s Got Talent stars Susan Boyle and Paul Potts, X Factor runner-up Rhydian and opera group Il Divo are rumoured to have been lined up as special guest performers.

Kym Marsh (Pic:GreenAlpha)It’s not their aria of expertise… but that won’t stop eight pop acts bidding for opera stardom.

Corrie’s Kym Marsh is already clearing her throat in readiness for ITV1’s new classical reality show, Popstar to Operastar.

Blur’s Alex James, Bernie Nolan, McFly’s Danny Jones, ex-Pop Idol star Darius Danesh, Shakespeare’s Sister’s Marcella Detroit, Jimmy Osmond and Vanessa White from girl band The Saturdays complete the line-up.

The artists will be trained to perform world-famous opera songs – with many singing in a different language for the first time. Welsh singing sensation Katherine Jenkins will mentor the stars, along with famed tenor Rolando Villazon.

And then – in a bizarre twist – they will be judged on their weekly efforts by rock legend Meat Loaf and makeover king and Classic FM DJ Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

A source said: “Thanks to Paul Potts, Rhydian and Il Divo, classical music is at the top of the charts.

“But can just anyone turn into a tremendous tenor or stunning soprano?”

Blur bassist James has five No1 albums under his belt, the Nolan sisters have sold more than 25 million records and McFly had seven No1 singles and two No1 albums.

Little Jimmy Osmond sold more than 100 million records with his siblings and is also a platinum-selling solo artist. Darius’s debut single and album went in at No1, Kym’s former band Hear’Say also had a chart-topping album and Marcella topped the hit parade for eight weeks with Shakespeare’s Sister’s hit Stay.

White’s band have enjoyed five top 10 singles since their debut in 2008.

Myleene Klass and Alan Titchmarsh will host the show, which  kicks off on ITV1 on January 15.

Dougie was there last night! And he’s been there the whole time!

See the man in the grey hoodie playing the bass towards the back? That’s no other than Dougie Poynter, bass of McFLY and boyfriend of our very own Frankie!

Since it was the last night of The Work Tour, he decided to jump on the stage and play durring “Just Can’t Get Enough.” Most of the crowd didn’t notice until he got a shout-out (It is towards the end of the video, hard to hear).

Apparently, hes been there for most of the tour with Frankie, not playing bass, but just being there.

Well Dougie, keep up the good work as a musician and as a boyfriend.
