Saturdays back to work!

It seems, after a long – deserved! – holiday for the girls @TheSaturdays are now back to some work. Their official Twitter has tweeted out a picture of Frankie today suggesting they might be either recording songs or writing some perhaps? It seems all Frankie wants to do is become a reporter for WeLovePop tho ๐Ÿ˜‰ A little bit later on they tweeted this:
It was SO much fun all being back at work together today! 2012 is going to be SUCH a big year for us Sats…we can’t wait. xx

It looks very promising to me, but let’s wait and see! ๐Ÿ™‚

News Roundup

It’s all gone a bit quiet in the new year hasn’t it? Just hope this isn’t a sign that 2012 is going to be a quiet year, as per my quick New Year post it seems 2012 could well be a quieter time for the girls musically – yes I know its only January 5th, but with marriages and babies …

Brief look around the Internet there are lots of reports that our lovely Rochelle and Marvin are planning to get married in 10 weeks time! Not hanging around then, we expect an invite in the post shortly Rochelle ๐Ÿ˜‰

The other couple-to-be are seemingly planning an Irish wedding according to the Irish media. As they spent the christmas period hunting for venues! Plus over various reports seem to be reporting on Una’s toilet abilities (Is news really that slow?!)

In better news the girls play their first (and maybe last) show for a while next week as they perform at Alexendra Burke’s charity concert – the Asda Tickled Pink ‘Girls Night Out’ for the Breast Cancer charity. Although how much dancing Una will be doing is up for question, maybe they can borrow some stools and do a fewย acoustic numbers!

*Fingers crossed* for a new single soon, surely they will squeeze one out before Una gives birth for us dedicated members of TeamSats!

If you need a tour fix, the girls support at Oh My! ‘created’ their new music video from bits and pieces they took during the ‘All Fired Up’ tour, you can catch the video here.

Frankie offers advice to Little Mix

Seem @thesaturdays are having a bit of a break after the tour, with Christmas over and done with now, and New Year coming up soon 2012 will be an interesting year for the group, with Una’s baby due amongst other things. Hopefully it won’t be too quiet, we are likely to see another single – probably a slow one, what with Una expecting soon – and then you can flip a coin if we will see a re-release of ‘On Your Radar’ or maybe another album release … greatest hits anyone? … either way it shouldn’t be too quiet, but I think 2012 will be more on the quiet side than some fans might have been used to. If you miss a girl band craving, it seems our girls are still offering advice to X-Factor winners Little Mix, this is via CapitalFM:

The Saturdays have admitted that X Factor winners Little Mix asked them for advice when the two girl groups met.

The ‘Up’ singers revealed that it was nice to be looked up to as they did the same thing with Girls Aloud when they were first starting out together.

Speaking to Capital FM about Little Mix, singer Frankie Sandford said: “They asked us for some advice and it was really nice being in [that] position.”

“When we met Girls Aloud we were like Little Mix and we were like ‘have you got any advice’. It’s actually really nice to be able to look up to someone and it’s nice for us to be able to be like ‘oh, we were like that before’,” she added.

Frankie and the girls recently finished their UK and Ireland arena tour and at their Wembley Arena show, singer Una Healy announced her engagement to England rugby star Ben Foden.

If the Monday Morning blues are getting you down our favourite(!) newspaper is running a story on how Mollie and David are planning to run off to India to work in hotels … as apparently The Saturdays are under threat from Little Mix … seriously?!
