Explanation ….

Hey TeamSats!

I just thought I’d take a few minutes to explain my situation and how it’s obviously affected the site in the last month!

As you have probably noticed the site has not had the regular updates that I try and do. This is down to a number of reasons, the main one being that my role at work has been changed slightly and where as before I’ve been able to sit down for 15-20mins at the start of each day to check for updates, this is no-longer possible. So updates should have shifted until late afternoon – when I get back from work – but alas I have a University exam next Monday, which I’m very under prepared for so that has been taking up my evenings!

Obviously this isn’t planned, but sadly work has decided to remove my main working place over the summer and now I’m working in many different locations over the week which has hampered the ability for morning updates!

To add more complications to the updates, as some of you might be aware, my girlfriend has now got a job in London and is moving in with me this weekend. Which is amazing, but has obviously (and rightly so!) got in the way with the website.

I plan to get everything back up and running the best I can in the near future, but hopefully you can all understand that life needs to have priority over The Saturdays, as much as we all love the group we do need to put ourselves first from time to time and for me this is one of those times!

I promise the 2015 Calendar Competition will be coming before the weekend, hopefully today, but if not tomorrow!

Thanks for your understanding!

Frankie joins 2014 Strictly Come Dancing

p024p1zc

It’s been rumoured for years, but finally it has been confirmed that our very own Frankie Bridge will be joining the 2014 Strictly Come Dancing lineup!

“I’m such a huge fan of Strictly! I’ve always wanted to be a part of the show – it looks like so much fun and the costumes are just gorgeous” said Frankie.

“Like so many little girls, I used to take dance lessons when I was in primary school and I really love dancing but this is going to be so different from anything I have done with The Saturdays. I just can’t wait to get started!”.

The 25 year-old is no stranger to the spotlight, having shot to fame at the age of 12 with the young pop group S Club Juniors. By the age of 16, she had amassed six top-ten singles with the group.

In 2007, Frankie successfully auditioned for a new girl-band, The Saturdays. As part of the five-piece girl group she has had four top-ten albums and thirteen top-ten singles, including hits such as “Ego”, “Issues”, “Missing You” and their first number one single, “What About Us”.

Frankie was born in Upminster. She is married to footballer Wayne Bridge and has a baby son called Parker.

Woop! Awesome news, we will be support Frankie when the show returns to the BBC this Autumn!

As we reported yesterday, it was confirmed yesterday evening that our very own Rochelle is to appear on the Christmas special of Strictly Come Dancing.

She’ll be competing against radio DJ Sara Cox (who’s dancing with pro Robin Windsor), West End legend Elaine Paige (who’s teaming up with Pasha Kovalev), Bros singer Matt Goss (who is partnered with Aliona Vilani), ‘EastEnders’ actor Ricky Norwood (who has got Janette Manrara) and comedian Rufus Hound (who has been given last year’s winner, Flavia Cacace).

The announcement, made on this evening’s edition of BBC Two’s It Takes Two,   also confirmed that Sir   Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly would be back on presenting duties, with judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood on hand to give out the scores.

Strictly Come Rochelle, Frankie Returns

Hey all! It’s another happy Monday, right?

We start off with the news over the weekend about Frankie’s imminent return. Obviously there has been a lot of talk about, well everything, to do with the group, from them calling it a day (or not), from more babies, from Rochelle getting sick, and now we have news of Frankie’s return!

If you head over to CapitalFM they have an audio snippet from Vanessa confirming Frankie’s return who is apparently back ‘before Christmas’ the girls play their first of three Christmas Shows this weekend at Free Radio Live in Birmingham so maybe she’s back for these shows? We are live from the event in Birmingham this weekend so keep it here for the latest – yes we do have tickets!

Rochelle is rumoured to be on a Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, nothing confirmed on that just yet, but just a little rumour that is circulating around the Internet right now. Apparently everything is to be confirmed at 6.30pm this evening. So as soon as we hear anything we will update.

We will also be launching our competition soon to win an official 2014 calendar! More details in the next day or so, just need to tidy up a few things and work out how it can be sent out, as it’s fairly large!
