What has been going on recently with The Saturdays? Well musically not much (sadly), the supposedly Christmas release of a new single and album – well hasn’t passed us yet – but it is 8th December so we presume that isn’t happening now despite the girls teasing everyone over twitter about being in the recording studio. News has emerged today that Rochelle is quoted as saying that the girls are hitting the studio in January to record their 6th album and that they need to fit it in between people giving birth! Obviously Frankie is on the strictly tour (January-February 2015) and Una is on the live shows for The Voice of Ireland which are in May. We might be waiting for a while ..
Frankie hung up her Strictly shoes last night to attend a special gala performance of Edward Scissorhands at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London. A few pictures I’ve added below.
Firstly congratulations to Frankie and Wayne, who got married last weekend! Everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite sends out our best wishes to the newly married couple!
Tomorrow on 4Music you need to tune in at 4pm to catch Summer Scoop with McFlurry featuring our girls The Saturdays!

Vanessa: Mollie is very competitive and a sore loser.

Vanessa: I don’t think we’re allowed to babysit, they don’t trust us.
If that’s not enough, there’s also an exclusive interview and performance from The Vamps and the boys from 5SOS tell us their favourite summer anthems…

“We can’t wait to get out on the road and showcase our journey so far! This is not the end, just a milestone along the way.”
Frankie Sandford
The Saturdays today announced that they will release a smash hit filled ‘Greatest Hits’ on August 11th before taking the album on tour around the country, including a date at London’s Wembley Arena.
Bucking the trend by releasing the collection whilst at the height of their career, fans can look forward to finally getting all the hits on one album. This is far from a farewell and more of a celebration with the band planning to return to the studio later on in the year to start recording their fifth studio album.
Featuring thirteen Top Ten singles, the ‘Greatest Hits’ is a celebration of a successful and enduring pop career the band have enjoyed since they first debuted in 2008 with ‘If This Is Love’. The album will include three brand new tracks alongside fan favourites such as ‘Higher’, ‘All Fired Up’, ‘Ego’, ‘Up’ and the chart topping ‘What About Us’.
From September the 7th, The Saturdays will take their new album on the road, performing to their fans in cities across the UK, kicking off in Glasgow then visiting Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff amongst others. The Saturdays are proud to present their ‘Greatest Hits Live!’ tour in partnership with Ultimate Blends, a new haircare range from Garnier that has been blended for Britain for gorgeous hair that is full of life.
Having now sold over five million records, with four top ten albums, The Saturdays continue to be a whirlwind force in the world of pop which shows no sign of slowing.

Firstly a HUGE congratulations to the girls for their Top 10 album, Living For The Weekend.
As announced yesterday the girls entered the UK album chart at number 10. The album sold just short of 10,000 copies last week giving the girls their 4th UK Top 10 album! So huge congratulations from everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite for this achievement.
I’m sure like most of you as last week went on, we saw the album slipping on iTunes we all feared for the worst, but it hung on in there!
Remember if you’ve not bought the album yet (and why not?!) you still can, you can visit iTunes and pick up the Standard or Deluxe editions, or head over to Amazon to buy the CD (or your local music store, if you have one!) or even go over to the girls official store and pick up a deluxe version of the album with a signed poster 🙂
All we now need is the Tour Announcement! Remember the girls are also on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge tomorrow, so make sure you turn into that. If you are at work/school/college/uni and will miss it – like I am – hopefully the BBC will get some videos up for everyone who does miss it 🙂
Firstly, a HUGE Congratulations to The Saturdays for Disco Love. It entered the UK charts this evening at Number 5! Amazing, well done to the girls, and obviously everyone who supported it! 🙂

Remember you can listen to The Saturdays NEW ALBUM this evening at 7pm via Google+ so join in with the fun (and mayhem) as the girls preview songs from their new album, and remember if you like what you hear, get ordering!!
To get you in the mood, the first few album reviews are filtering in:
7/10. Songs like ‘Lease My Love’ and ‘Problem With Love’ are the furthest they’ve journeyed into R&B and feels like a great continuation of the sound of ‘On Your Radar’, while ‘Leave A Light On’ is a cracking ballad and the uptempo tunes are big blasts of fun. Room for improvement, but not a bad result all round.
Female First:
4/5: There’s nothing ‘groundbreaking’ on the album – but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The girls do the job they’re supposed to with hit after hit that could storm the charts if released as a single, and a ballad or two thrown in for good measure.
Good news on Disco Love too, we know that its Top 5 in the early sales, and it remains Top 5 on iTunes too. Looks like this could be a good sized hit for the girls 🙂 Keep on buying, and pre-order that album. All the links you ever need are to the right of this post >>>>>
