Bits and pieces – 25th January 2012

Seems @thesaturdays have a few days off this week before they get back down to work next week! No doubt back in the recording studio recording some number one singles!

Despite having time off the girls are being filmed and photographed as they do their daily chores – the life of a popstar eh?

Una has been spotted doing some shopping at Tesco, and the good old Daily Mail do their best to create a news item out of a few pictures!

Frankie has an evening out with Wayne, again the Daily Mail say that she is ‘channeling her inner cat-woman’ as they again write some random text around a few pictures. At least on this occasion she wasn’t wearing that hoodie!

News Roundup – 19th January

It’s not too exciting in the world of @TheSaturdays right now .. unless you are an fan of random news bits that appear here and there. Here’s a little round up of what the Internet is talking about with The Saturdays.

Firstly, as we can tell from the girls, they are in the recording studio. Rochelle in the past has said that girls where due to hit the studio in january to start recording songs for the follow up to ‘On Your Radar’ – so this obviously sees to be the case. There are a lot of rumours circulating that the girls might re-release the album, or even ‘Greatest Hits’ is being touted due to Una’s child and she obviously wants to spend time with her kid. I guess we will see what will happen but either way media reports of the girls demise are way off the mark!

Secondly, the media seem to be in love with Frankie’s brand new £135k car. Have to say for someone that doesn’t play Football, Mr Bridge is getting an awful lot of money from Manchester City – do they have more money then sense?!

Una had a bit of a fainting episode – don’t panic, all is fine! She has tweeted that all is well. But it seems some media outlets are making the most of the news item!

Remember you can follow us on twitter (we will follow back, once twitter allows us!) and you can like us on facebook, follow us on youtube etc.

Recording Times

Seems movement is afoot in the world of @thesaturdays ….

Una: You guys knows your birds!! Yes its definitely a green woodpecker! He/she brightened up my blue Monday lol! Now off to the studio!! 🙂

MollieWhy do I record standing on my tip toes?

Place your bets now … are these new tracks for a re-release of ‘On Your Radar’ or are these new tracks for a potential Greatest Hits album release … or something else totally …

The girls excited to be aunties

Rochelle Wiseman has revealed her glee at being an “auntie” – but admitted she’s not ready for motherhood yet.

The Saturdays singer, who is engaged to JLS singer Marvin Humes, can’t wait for bandmate Una Healy to give birth in March.

“I am most looking forward to Una having a baby. She’s due on my birthday!” she said.

“I really hope she pops out on my birthday, I’d be chuffed. It’s the first Saturdays baby! We can’t wait. It’s a girl. We’re all going to be aunties.”

The 22-year-old continued: “It’s got me really excited to be an auntie. Don’t get me wrong, one day I’ll have kids but I’m not ready for that yet. I’m happy with my life.

“I think Una will be a great mum. I love kids, don’t get me wrong, but just not for myself – yet,” she added.

Rochelle and her bandmates will be performing at Asda’s Tickled Pink fundraising concert alongside Alexandra Burke, Little Mix, Chipmunk and Dionne Bromfield, which takes place at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire tonight (January 12).

“Alexandra asked us to perform. She texted me and was like, ‘I’m doing a gig for Tickled Pink, I’m really excited about it and I really want you girls to be involved’,” the singer revealed.

“It’s a great cause. We’re excited to be there and it’s amazing because 100% of the ticket sales go to Tickled Pink and that usually doesn’t happen. So everyone’s there for a good reason.”

Mollie talks babies and 2012

@MollieTheSats talks about babies, David and what 2012 has planned for The Saturdays

The Saturdays star Mollie King has admitted that the girl group “can’t wait” for singer Una Healy to give birth.

The ‘My Heart Takes Over’ singer confessed that she and the rest of the band are all very much looking forward to becoming aunties.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, the singer said: “Una’s really excited about becoming a mum and we can’t wait to be aunties. We’re all like ‘Come on Una, push it out!'”

The star who is currently dating model David Gandy also revealed that the pregnancy has not yet given her any desire to start her own family just yet.

“We want to buy baby clothes for her little girl and take her out and babysit. It hasn’t had a knock on effect in terms of being broody, although we are looking forward to meeting her. Being an auntie means we can play with her and when she starts to cry, hand her back.”

Mollie also went on to discuss how Una will play a part in the band’s upcoming busy year and believes her band mate will eventually bring her child with the girls on tour.

She confessed: “We have a really busy year coming up. Una knew that and is ready to work extra hard too. I’m sure, when she can, she’ll bring the baby with us.”

News of Una’s pregnancy broke in November when she revealed she would be expecting a girl.

The singer has continued to tour with the rest of The Saturdays proudly showing off her baby bump – including a performance at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena in London last month.

News Roundup

It’s all gone a bit quiet in the new year hasn’t it? Just hope this isn’t a sign that 2012 is going to be a quiet year, as per my quick New Year post it seems 2012 could well be a quieter time for the girls musically – yes I know its only January 5th, but with marriages and babies …

Brief look around the Internet there are lots of reports that our lovely Rochelle and Marvin are planning to get married in 10 weeks time! Not hanging around then, we expect an invite in the post shortly Rochelle 😉

The other couple-to-be are seemingly planning an Irish wedding according to the Irish media. As they spent the christmas period hunting for venues! Plus over various reports seem to be reporting on Una’s toilet abilities (Is news really that slow?!)

In better news the girls play their first (and maybe last) show for a while next week as they perform at Alexendra Burke’s charity concert – the Asda Tickled Pink ‘Girls Night Out’ for the Breast Cancer charity. Although how much dancing Una will be doing is up for question, maybe they can borrow some stools and do a few acoustic numbers!

*Fingers crossed* for a new single soon, surely they will squeeze one out before Una gives birth for us dedicated members of TeamSats!

If you need a tour fix, the girls support at Oh My! ‘created’ their new music video from bits and pieces they took during the ‘All Fired Up’ tour, you can catch the video here.
