This is news about 1/5 of The Saturdays, Una Healy.
Those hoping for Season 2 of Chasing The Saturdays, might have to wait longer, its being reported today that the show has been cancelled by E! Reports suggest that viewing figures dropped below 100,000 and that the show was ‘too nice’. Sad news for those who liked the show, where as other people reading this might not be too surprised by this. Hopefully the girls will go back to the USA but try a more traditional route and do tons of promo across radio! (It does work, look at Little Mix, Olly Murs etc. Just needs a bit of planning and travelling!) So fingers crossed for the US fans that they come back soon
In current news, the girls are currently in France, doing a bit of promo there for ‘What About Us’ if you are a french visitor and have news/media/clips (anything really) then please send to us and we will add it as news (and credit you!) as its impossible for us to keep up to date with EVERYTHING that is going on across the world!
Apparently Frankie doesn’t want to be a ‘fat bride’ – take of that what you will – and the girls performed at the Sony Radio Music Awards the other night, hopefully will get some pictures of of that soon. In baby talk Una has been talking about Ben ‘can’t wait to get me pregnant again’ - maybe we need to rename the Site now to The Saturdays Juniors!
The girls added another summer show yesterday, as they will be playing the Glow at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent on August 10th. We are going down there (as its local to us!) so hopefully see some of you down there. Tickets are on sale now from Ticketmaster, it’s a seated event so if you want a good seat then act now, there’s a good batch still available in the first few rows so be quick and snap those up! (We are in Block A!)
The major news from yesterday seems that despite some ramblings that the girls new album was basically finished, the girls spent yesterday in the recording studio recording with DJ Fresh. With the wide variety of producers that the girls have used, all of whom produce different styles of music, its hard to pinpoint what the final album might actually sound like!
In other news in the annual FHM Top 100 ‘sexiest’ – UK – two of our girls managed to get into the Top 100! Mollie was voted the 18th ‘most sexiest’ followed by Frankie who was voted the ’37th’ most sexiest.
Ben Foden has been talking to ‘Attitude’ magazine and has been talking about how he picked Una after ‘spotting her on television’ – lets hope it was a little more romantic than that
Talking relationships there is a (awful lot) of media interest in Mollie and Jordan, seems a tad over the top to me, but hey thats the media for you. And apparently Mollie’s ‘friend’ has said that she was ‘feeling lonely’ being the only single member … not quite sure what ‘friend’ goes to the media but hey!
For those wanting to hear the girls interview in Ireland on TodayFM, you can listen to it here – thanks to Jennie for the link
Those awaiting a video for ‘Sweat The Small Stuff’ it should be on the site later this evening
A few days ago, Vanessa, Una and Frankie popped down to Capital Breakfast London to have a quick chat, kindly Capital have added this to their soundcloud so you can now listen to it if you missed it!
Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, it’s been rather manic at work (again) and the dreaded Uni deadline is also nibbling at my toes, so no rest for the wicked.
Firstly there are plently of articles around on how Wayne proposed to our Frankie, apparently the dogs where involved (and why not?!) as it wouldn’t be a Saturdays related event without a pet involved somewhere!
Una has been a-blogging again on Hello! about Frankie’s engagement and the girls recent visit to Germany, so make sure you pop over there and give that a read
A new MTV Show called ‘The Show With Vinny‘ is set to premiere on MTV US on May 3rd, The Saturdays are included on the guestlist for the show, no real further details yet but something to keep an eye on!
Sorry for the quick update, something more detailed to come soon!
Hey all! It’s Monday and for a fair amount of people, including myself, who work in education or attend school or college its back to work (Yes I know some of you did go back last week too!) but we are all back now!
After the huge success of ‘What About Us’ in the UK – which just to mention is still Top 10 after 4 weeks now – which is awesome for the girls – it’s all gone a little quiet (In the UK ..) but the girls are bored of just getting UK success and last week flew over to Germany to tempt those Europeans with some UK girl group action. Thanks to Juliane for spotting this article about the girls in Germany (It’s in German, obviously!) and if any of our other European visitors find news/videos/articles that we can post please mail them over to us via @TheSatsCoUk or e-mail (see the social tab at the top of the site!)
In other news, Rochelle says that Marvin is enjoying her pregnancy too! Also is Mollie feeling the singleton-life too much as she wants a ‘Fairy Tale’ wedding.
As I spoke about the other week, our lovely Una has started up a blog with Hello Magazine! You can read it on the Hello Site rather than reproducing the entire blog here.
Hopefully the release of a certain song called ‘Gentleman’ won’t affect the girls rumoured next single of the similar name (they do sound rather different tho!) but more news as we get it on that front.
Also here’s an Interview that the girls did with Capital FM (East Midlands) a few days ago:
Can you actually believe its already been a year? Today is the gorgeous Aoife Belle’s first birthday! Here’s the news item that we originally posted a year ago!
Everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite sends our birthday wishes over to Aoife Belle and her wonderful parents Una & Ben.
Firstly the girls are playing a special concert in Dublin! They are playing a one-off show at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin, Ireland on March 28, to mark the venue’s 1-year anniversary! All proceeds from the show will go to the society of St Vincent De Paul.
Pre-sale tickets are available now to Bord Gáis Energy Reward Club members, and will be on sale to the public this Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.
In other news, Una Healy insists she rarely rows with husband Ben Foden, but she does get cross about his messy ways.
Una Healy shouts at her husband when he leaves his dirty clothes on the floor.
The Saturdays singer is married to England rugby player Ben Foden and she insists his most annoying habit is when he uses the floor of their house as a laundry bin.
She moaned: ”We don’t have massive arguments any more. But I get annoyed when I see clothes of his on the floor or he hasn’t made the bed. If you don’t know what I’m like, you might think I’m being aggressive, but he just laughs at me now.”
Una – who has an 11-month-old daughter, Aoife, with Ben – likes to keep her spouse organised so she makes him lists of chores to do when she goes out, however, he doesn’t always follow her instructions.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: ”I make lists. I say, ‘When I get back you must make sure the bins are left out, because you know they’re only collected every two weeks.’ I come back and the bin is overflowing. The Christmas tree is still in the back, it’s an eyesore.
”I can’t relax until after my lists are done!”
Ben is definitely not a fan of his wife’s lists of jobs but he appreciates her busy demeanour is a good balance to his laid back attitude to life.
He said: ”I give her a bit of grief because she’s so stressed about everything. We’ll have a day off but before we relax she wants to do everything off her mental list. She’s very organised and motivated, whereas I’m lazy and messy! Chalk and cheese.”

It’s Tuesday, its February it only means one thing, its Pancake day! It’s time to admit how many pancakes you will eat tonight, I shall probably have 2 (or 3) depending on how I feel.
It’s also my first anniversary today, so I’ll use the site to say thank you to those members of TeamSats who have supported me and Rosie since day 1 We do appreciate all your support.
If you are looking at this through blurry eyes, I do have something that will easily wake you up and instantly make you feel better. Here is our lovely Una, grabbing her guitar and giving us an acoustic (solo) performance of Somebody Else’s Life – how amazing is that?!
The DailyMail (who else) have given their review of Chasing The Saturdays (Episode 4) - I do find it a little funny that the UK media are just going with the US pacing of the show and not the UK one .. I guess there is a chance the final episode will air near each other but for now, there is a 2 week difference.
OK Magazine are running an ‘exclusive’ on how the love-king helped keep Una and Ben’s proposal a surprise:
Una Healy and Ben Foden have revealed how Mollie King helped plan his surprise proposal and their heartbreak at being away from daughter Aoife Belle.
