Buy a Nokia, see the girls!

All We Want for Christmas is The Saturdays

We start this Thursday with the (sad) news that the new album ‘Living For The Weekend’ had an almighty fall in the midweek charts. The Radio 1 update from yesterday has suggested its taken a 24 place fall to number 34. So if you’ve not bought a copy yet, now will be a good time! The album currently sits at the lower half of iTunes (It’s round 190) so its a good time to buy!

In other news, the girls have teamed up with Nokia and the Carphone Warehouse. They are giving the chance for 20 people to attend a special private concert in February 2014. The catch? You must buy a brand new Nokia Lumia 520 or Nokia Asha 210 handset from Carphone Warehouse.

Further to this, the girls have curated a unique mix of their all time favourite tracks, available only on Nokia Mix Radio, by scanning the QR code in store. One of the tracks is a special message to their fans and an insight into their mix choice.

The Saturdays said, “We had a great time putting together our Nokia exclusive playlist. We can’t wait to perform the special gig for 20 lucky fans in February 2014. Being close to our fans is really important to us, so thank you Nokia for the opportunity to perform such an intimate show.”

“One track we ALL agreed needed to be included was Miley’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ – it definitely feels like the song of the moment with the video that EVERYONE is talking about.”

These exclusive The Saturdays promotional handsets are available nationwide at Carphone Warehouse.

Nokia Lumia 520 – £99.95 (Minimum £10 top up is required)

Nokia Asha 210 – £49.95 (Minimum £10 top up is required)

Live Lounge!

Hi all. Sorry for the late update on this, this obviously happened yesterday whilst I was at work then I rushed out after work to the Arsenal game (Who I must admit did play Disco Love at half-time!) Video on our twitter and Instagram.

Yesterday our girls hit the BBC Radio 1 Studio’s to perform on their Live Lounge series, they performed Disco Love and a mashup from Drake/TLC/Destiny’s Child. You can relive the performances via the BBC Radio 1 website – yes these are videos!!

Mollie’s Fashion Future

mollie_2

LOTS of promo regarding this. For those in London, check out the big Oasis store in Covent Garden, apparently there is a huge window display!

Fashion Magazine Grazia met up with Mollie to talk about her fashion range with Oasis.

Mollie has compiled a 45-piece collection, which is an edit of her favourite pieces from the Autumn Winter 2013 collection, including plum leather pencil skirts, oversized tan coats and dreamy pastels. Plus the blonde pop star also stars in the campaign to go alongside her Loved By Mollie edit.

Mollie was giddy about her collection, skipping around the large dining table to talk about her take on this season. She told us that: ‘I went into the Oasis office and there were rails and rails of clothes that I could dive through. It was like every girl’s dream! I picked out my favourite bits, but it was really hard to narrow everything down because obviously I couldn’t pick the whole collection! I wanted a mixture of evening wear and casual pieces.’

Also news that broke yesterday is that Mollie has signed up with model agency ‘Next Models Management’

“She started popping up on our radar. We noticed her style and how great she looked. We really like to sign people who already have a style of their own, and who know what they like. Mollie has great things ahead.”

Mollie launches fashion range with Oasis

We begin today with news that Mollie has continued to further branch out into her fashion roots by becoming a ‘fashion ambassador’ for high street chain Oasis.

The new ‘Loved By Mollie‘ AW13 collection is said to be styled on the girl herself featuring her personal fashion loves like oversized coats in on-trend pastels, tapestry prints and leather separates, thanks to her keen love of clothes.

When questioned about her own look, the style savvy star told us that while she was used to having her outfits picked over in the media, it was her family’s fashion advice she always trusted first.

‘My nan has just learned how to use Google News,’ she said. ‘Sometimes she’ll text me to tell me that she liked last night’s outfit, which I love. If my grandparents like it, I know it’s a winner.’

Mollie, who simultaneously announced her new signing to Next model management, celebrated being the first celebrity partner for the high street store, paving the way for an exciting career in the fashion industry.

Going solo for her new fashion project, The Saturdays’ sweetheart said she wasn’t quite ready do a Victoria Beckham just yet, though she hoped to follow in the footsteps of the fashion mogul who created her own style empire after leaving her girl band roots behind.

‘Music will always be my number one and I hope The Saturdays continue for much longer. The girls are all so happy for me,’ she told us.

‘Victoria Beckham is my idol. I was in the same room as her once and I really wanted a photo but I chickened out. I grew up with the Spice Girls – I would die if I thought she’d heard of The Saturdays.’

Mollie‘s new ‘Loved By Mollie’ collection hits stores today, view the collection in full now online at Oasis. {Note that seems to be the link, but there isn’t anything on the page yet!}

Living For The Weekend enters at … 10

Firstly a HUGE congratulations to the girls for their Top 10 album, Living For The Weekend.

As announced yesterday the girls entered the UK album chart at number 10. The album sold just short of 10,000 copies last week giving the girls their 4th UK Top 10 album! So huge congratulations from everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite for this achievement.

I’m sure like most of you as last week went on, we saw the album slipping on iTunes we all feared for the worst, but it hung on in there!

Remember if you’ve not bought the album yet (and why not?!) you still can, you can visit iTunes and pick up the Standard or Deluxe editions, or head over to Amazon to buy the CD (or your local music store, if you have one!) or even go over to the girls official store and pick up a deluxe version of the album with a signed poster 🙂

All we now need is the Tour Announcement! Remember the girls are also on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge tomorrow, so make sure you turn into that. If you are at work/school/college/uni and will miss it – like I am – hopefully the BBC will get some videos up for everyone who does miss it 🙂

Congratulations Frankie & Wayne

After what seemed to be the longest pregnancy ever, it was confirmed via Frankie’s official twitter that she has finally given birth! The newborn boy, Parker Bridge, was boring this morning (and weighing the same as Aoife Belle, 7lbs 13oz)

Everyone here at The Saturdays Fansite, the people who work on the site, and obviously all our wonderful visitors, send our many congratulations to Frankie and Wayne on the birth of their new baby son!
