‘What About Us’ new single and more …

A quick update from on the road, I’m currently in a hotel in Chester so will keep this update to the point. I’ll do a full update on Sunday or Monday when I’m back home but today has been a rather groundbreaking day for The Saturdays.

Firstly it has finally been confirmed that ‘What About Us’ will serve as the girls debut single in the USA and will be the girls next UK single too. It has also been confirmed that the follow up to this single will be the girls first true global single which is due to be released in Early 2013 alongside the new album which the girls are currently recording in LA.

We also have a new follower on twitter and everyone else should follow them too. Set your twitter client to @TeamSats where all the US gossip – and I assume further international news – will be posted to!

More as it comes in! Keep it locked TeamSats things are about to get very exciting!!!

New Music Video

I know this was shot a while ago, but it seems the girls favourite news-piece Daily Mail has posted this about the new music video – maybe there was a little media embargo – or they’ve got a deal to post a The Saturdays news item daily? There are pictures in our gallery but I’ve posted the ones from the media article below:

It was Daisy Dukes for all as The Saturdays filmed their new music video in Los Angeles.

The British girl band poured their curves into five matching pairs of denim shorts as they strutted down the street arm-in-arm.

The chart-topping five are busy filming a new reality show which follows them as they attempt to break America – and enjoy themselves at the same time.

While they have yet to find success in the U.S. the girls are hopeful that it won’t be long.

They certainly caused a stir as they donned matching outfits for their video shoot, the follow up to 30 Days.

Rochelle Humes, nee Wisemen, teamed her shorts with a tiny crop top, all the better to show off her toned stomach. As the cameras rolled she leant back against a colourful backdrop.

To say its a tad quiet (on the news front) is an understatement right now, it’s not unexpected tho. The media are just publishing pictures of the girls as they wander around LA doing their US thing, all the pictures are being added constantly to our gallery and everytime that is updated you can find out from checking the thumbnails to the right or follow us on Twitter @TheSatsCoUk where you will be notified of the updates the second that they happen. The gallery also has an RSS feed you can subscribe to to see the updates etc. Also as I said before I work in a school so August is my summer holidays so I’ve also been taking a break from the site, luckily it has seemingly coincided with the girls going to LA so not much is being missed, unless you like pictures!

The latest rumblings from the media in the UK is all very uneventful and not really news-site-worthy unless you believe that ‘news’ is the girls posting pictures of themselves on twitter/instagram without make-up on!! I know news is slow, seriously, but journalists are being paid to write this stuff!

If you are bored, and dreading going back to school in a few weeks – or if you are in Scotland I believe you might be back this week! – make sure you vote for Mollie in the 2012 It’s Me Choice Awards. She won last year and the voting this year is a little different as you don’t have to spam twitter, you just need to fill in a form on the Dyslexia Action website. Check out our older post here on how to vote. Remember you can vote more than once and you have to do it by 26th August!

Hopefully the girls US plans will kick into action soon so we have more exciting stuff to report! Until then keep checking out the gallery for the latest pictures of the girls out and about in the USA!

(Updated) New single news featuring Sean Paul

The first details of the new single have leaked overnight as the girls have filmed the video for it. The only detail that seemingly leaked is that the single is set to feature Sean Paul … No doubt this will bring a huge mixed reaction from the community as a whole. Give us your views on twitter and Facebook.
With a video filmed hopefully it won’t be too long before we all hear it. Thankfully this means the rumour of a new song not before 2013 where wrong! More information as we get it!

Update:
Sean Paul has been talking on twitter, and says that as far as he knows, the single is set to be released in January 2013 … seems we might have a little wait afterall!

The girls continue their LA excursions

The girls are continuing their LA visit by shopping, relaxing, doing a bit more shopping and recording! Still seems to be a lack of TV cameras around tho, or are the paps just not photographing them!

The Saturdays hit the USA

Sorry for the slow news recently, as most of you know I work at a school and it’s now the summer holiday so I’ve been taking some time out and watching the Olympics and spending time with friends and family. On top of that our girls have been too busy getting married so news hasn’t beeen of the most exciting, but hopefully all this will now change as the girls have flown out to the USA to start their attempt to break the US Market. Although its early days the girls haven’t done much apart from chilling at a pool and hitting some celebrity night spots – but I guess thats how it all starts.

The girls are in LA to continue to film their E! TV series which is filming them in their attempts to break the US. They will no doubt continue to record over in the USA. The exciting times at present is obviously the TV show as well as how the US will be attempted, will they release a new-single there as they do in the UK? Will their US album be the same as the new UK one – due 2013 – or a UK -Greatest Hits with some of the new songs recorded for the new UK release. I’m sure all will be revealed over the coming months. At least whilst the girls are over in the US there will be a lot of publicity for them as they are photographed going from A to B to C.
