Mollie King talks Coachella hair & festival style

Mollie recently attended the Coachella festival, she talks about hair, style and more with Hello Fashion Magazine:

Mollie King, former Saturday’s star turned fashion blogger, caught up with Hello! Fashion Monthly at this year’s Coachella Festival. Known for her flawless blonde locks and effortless style, it’s no wonder she fits in with the LA cool crowd. This year she worked with ghd to debut many of the festival hair trends we can expect to see over the course of the summer. Find out how the blonde beauty achieves her own hairstyles, what inspires her boho-esque festival fashion choices and why her motto is “go hard or go home!”

What do you love most about Coachella festival & who do you want to see perform?

I love how Coachella has got such a chilled out and fun vibe, plus the setting is incredible and the sun is always shining. The music acts are always amazing too and the fact that when you walk into the festival and see the iconic Coachella wheel, you know that you’ve arrived. I was most excited to see Lady Gaga! And then DJ Snake and Martin Garrix as well. The line-up was great this year!

Blonde or brunette? Have you ever, or would you ever, go brunette?

I am definitely a blonde! I once tried on one of the girls in the band’s dark extensions in the front of my hair and it looked terrible so I wouldn’t try it again – unless I tried low lights so that it was dark underneath but still light on top. I definitely wouldn’t go dark all over.

Mollie ‘dyeing’ to swap hair

Seems @MollieTheSats wants a new hair colour!

BEING a pop star is not always easy, as babe Mollie King knows only too well.

The Saturdays blonde bombshell Mollie King, 24, has admitted to Goss she has been gagging to dye her famous locks – but her music bosses won’t allow that to happen.

She told us: “I did want to dye my hair, but they won’t really let me as I need to be blonde for the band. I guess that’s just how it works.”

Although we understand that girl bands do need to be carefully balanced, we also reckon that it’s a woman’s right to dye her hair as and when she pleases.

We feel Mollie is better blonde, but what hair colour would you like to see her wear? Leave us a comment below 🙂

The Saturdays Make a Case for Curls

the saturdays hairstyles

Just sitting here working on my straight vs texture piece, when this picture of the Saturdays backstage at the Midlands Music Festival appeared. I think it’s clear to see which side of the fence they’re on – they must have an army of stylists poised with curling tongs at all times!

It’s becoming increasingly apparent to me that even though the catwalk is having a love affair with straight, it’s going to take a world for the trend to catch on in the wider world…

Hair Gave Us the Willies

THE SATURDAYS got more than they bargained for at the West End launch of Hair – when male cast members unleashed their, erm, male members.

The wholesome girlband were shocked to see “full blown willies” onstage at the opening night of the revamped musical.

Their blushes were triggered by a couple of characters who strip naked to intimidate police as part of an anti-war demonstration.

But it seems the sexy fivesome were left more unsettled by their full-frontal shenanigans than the fictitious cops.

Singer ROCHELLE WISEMAN Tweeted after last night’s performance: “No one prepared me for nudity. Full blown Willies!

“WOW – I’m scarred. What an amazing show though.”

Bandmate VANESSA WHITE was equally flustered by the unexpected appearance of liberated manhoods.

She wrote: “Wow they were actually all FULLY NAKED wooo haha – was unsure where to look!”

They should stick those quotes on the poster…
